I have the 194s. I like big skis all of my Moments are 190 (WCT, DW, DW104). All current skis on front triangle. All past moment skis are also the long size. Meridian Tour and Meridian 117) were in 187 and I always thought if they were a little longer they would have a larger sweet spot for of balanced landings and getting bucked in crud. I'm 6 feet 160 for reference.
Ima try to ignore whatever is released except for the Meridian. Considering I kinda wish I had the 193 CBs over my 186, I hope there is a 190+ expression of the Meridian.
I have never skied the Meridian. I’m making assumptions based on my 186 CBs. I am 5’10” 200 so I appreciate your thoughts on the matter. Regardless, my credit card is idling nearby for whenever they drop. My wife has a boot fitting appointment at the factory next Friday so maybe there will be same fun stuff to look at.
Whats yalls recommendation for this situation?
Looking for a ski to replace Enforcer 100. Since getting hooked about a decade ago Ive only been on the following skis:
Nordica Hell & Back
Nordica Enforcer 100
Moment Deathwish (2 seasons)
I will keep the Deathwish 184 as my main ski....usually skiing Alta so I've learned to love powder/off piste but I do also love flying down groomers. The Enforcers just don't do it for me like the DW, even in low tide. I'm not doing tricks and get excited if I get an inch or two of air.
Thinking the Commander 92 or 102. I'm 5'10 and about 185. 98 is the narrowest ski Ive ever been on
Have you considered the DW104? I have hundreds of days on the deathwish (3 Paris of 190s) at Solitude. Last year I added the 104 for low tide. 10/10 would recommend. I did 190/190 my old man who’s 68 did 179/174.
I haven’t skied the new commanders and at that mount point its going to ski a lot different than the DW. I love having a quiver that skis the same in terms of mount point and stance. That said the 92s look like they would be a lot of fun low tide.
I hate to give you guys bad news but I reached out to Melee and they are NOT making slalom skis with an evil graphic. I begged for these back in the day but now my youngest is 7yrs old, and is starting to follow me around. Oh well.
In any case, here's some video from a few weeks back on the new Deathwish 190. Same ripping skis as before...confirmed. Just wish I could say the same for my lower back

666 out...
Maybe they are making Moment XC Skate Skis??
^^That would be sick. Maybe the Sick Cat, vomit cat, or anaerobic deathwish...
Under the Wildcat 101 the description reads "It's built for Wong-banging bumps". Can someone explain this to me, I'm behind the times. How do you Wong-bang?
Oh damn, now I wanna Wong-bang
Looks like he's tail gunning (I kid) to me but the hair is on point!
I know this has been hashed out repeatedly but here we go. I am stuck between the Deathwish 112 and Wildcat 108 as my west coast daily driver. Going 190 for sure if that matters. I have owned the OG version of the Bibby Pro and currently own the Wildcat 116 Tour. I have really liked both of these skis but I guess I am Deathwish curious which makes me not just automatically go to the Wildcat 108.
Currently my daily driver is the On3p Wrenagade 108ti which I have finally come to the conclusion that I just don’t really like. I fancied myself a charger but perhaps that is not the case anymore. There is nothing inherently wrong with the ski, nor do I find it too demanding. I think ultimately I don’t like the mount point and I want something more playful. There is something about the locked in feeling of the tail that I do not necessarily like.
This ski would fit in next to a bear claw Billy Goat, my absolute favorite ski ever. Anytime there is 6”+ the Billy Goat would be out. Somewhere in this thread I thought I read the Deathwish being likened to a smaller Billy Goat but I could be wrong. I guess this is where the intrigue comes from. Ultimately I guess I am looking for something that feels loose and surfy, but can still charge when called upon.
Thanks for reading my blog.

I’m a bigger guy 6’1 210-220 and the 108 lacks float for me in the 190. The DW provided a noticeable improvement in float but also is better on groomers than the WC108. The DW is really a jack of all trades and a master of none. My quiver now includes a Meridian and CT as a best of both worlds daily driver quiver. While I have a CB GT go deep days.
I think the CT is actually your ticket. It’s probably more precise on firm but also floats better than both the WC and DW because of the mount point and fatter tip.
I haven’t been on mine yet due to LCC closing last year. A friend of mine was on protos last season and he said the CT punch’s above its waist in powder. He said for a “directional” it’s quite loose in soft snow. Really easy to shut things down.
Hey folks. I’m looking to purchase new skis this year and wanted to get y'alls opinion.
Situation
I currently have Armada Declivity 102s. I ski 25 days a year at Palisades. I’ve been skiing my whole life and would consider myself an expert, direction skier with an active style. 80% resort and 20% bc. My ideal run is boot packing to drop into something steep and transitioning into blue terrain ripping it the rest of the way down on groomers or the trees etc. No spins or flips here.
Curve ball - shift bindings are currently mounted but I refuse to ski them this year afer popping out 5x in the resort last season. If I keep these skis, I want to replace them with pivot+cast. DIN is 11 and I’m 6’2” 170lbs.
Demos
- Enforcer Frees - too heavy, too damp.
- Black Crows (Atris?) - dull and flat.
- Bent 110s - pretty fun, light and playful, but too noodly and didn't want to turn.
- Declivity 102 - love them for their energetic, playful, light-on-my-feet style They’re super fun with a little soft on top but aren’t very versatile IMO.
- DW104s (demo'd later) - loved their versatility. Edges would bite making me feel secure and confidence inspiring but felt like it was working against me a bit with the added friction in and out of turns. I think the Declivity’s are more fun in ideal conditions but I would likely have more fun days with the DW104 as my DD.
Options
I like the sound of the WC as a playful charger. Here's what I'm thinking:
- One-ski quiver - WC108 (pivot+cast) - sell the Declivity. Like: I'd get many great ski days with this ski in a variety of conditions. Simple and nice solution. But I'm worried I'll regret not having the fatcats (WC118) esp. when I'm on top of the Palisades.
- Two-ski quiver - Declivity 102 + WC118 - it seems like these would complement each other well. I’d probs put cast pivots on the Declivity but idk? My concern here is the # quality days I'd get with the WC118 and wonder if I'd generally have more fun days on the WC108.
Thoughts? What about the the Countach or the DW? I'll probs try and demo more. Thanks!
