I have and still tour on the wc108 and the regular meridian. I think the lack of popularity might be due to skiers not being fully comfortable with a fully rockered ski that is not a pow specific tool only. That being said I think the wc108/DW are more popular in the touring modes because folks ski touring don’t know how to set a skin track (they go straight up). That’s been the only limitation I have found with a the meridian is going up hill when I don’t set the skin track myself (small contact patch on firmer snow).

When it comes to the down the fully rockered ski makes for a blast on anything that isn’t completely frozen. That’s where the wc108/DW shine because they have camber underfoot so they handle very firm/ icy conditions better.

Makes sense. Too bad, I've been curious about trying a progressive fully rockered daily driver ski.

On another note, the new 21/22 are some damn good looking skis. Big fan of the dark commanders and frankenski

They still have meridians on skiburger.com and I’m sure if you call they might have meridian tours at the factory. I probably have 35-40 days on the meridians this season super fun. Too bad they weren’t popular enough to stick around.

Nice, it was just a thought that popped into my head when I saw that post about who did the artwork. I went to school with her

We brought the Meridian Tour back in the reserve collection. It's a factory employee favorite and almost every employee girlfriend that tours skis it.

    Yup!

Internally on the heel piece the springs and caming mechanisms do vary.

Last years Voyager 14 started at a release value of 8 which was pretty high for a lot of folks.

well done Melee - the new line up looks amazing.

Wildcat tours look sensational, as does the Commander Tours (the new metal layup and full on bases/edges sound absolutely killer for this type of ski - in fact, after thinking about it a bit I find these to be one of the most exciting big line touring skis to have been released in years - a very, very interesting ski), and nice to see how the Wildcat graphic story continues on. Well done and then some.

The lighter skiers lineup aka women's looks great as well.

Nice that you added the Voager 12 option too.

All in all, with the official launch being tomorrow - fantastic work Melee and crew!

Checked ski burger and the moment website both seem to be sold out of the 187. I may just end up going WCT108 or DWT for a little better icy chute performance

So stoked on the line up this year. Moment continues to kill it in the top sheet game. Performance is what keeps us around. Now it is going to be time for me to decide if I want to get a new DW to replace the old or jump to the C108 that I have gone a few demos on and truly loved the life in that ski!

Lineup looks awesome - excellent work. Hope the DW104 does well. That seems like an awesome hard-snow option. And the C104 Tour WITH METAL?? - definitely want to try that one.

Sad to see the C118 go away. Competing against the Wildcat probably did that one in.

Gentle request - I generally love Moment's topsheets - cool themes, love the occult-inspired images, and just beautiful. But skiing on some hot woman's face just doesn't fly for me. Also, my daughters would not approve. They love Moment topsheets, and they are just getting to the age where they can ski Moment's youth skis, but they definitely would think less of Dad skiing on hot chick-skis. Hence, no C108s for me this year. I used to have the Exit Worlds with the chick and boobs hanging out - sold them purely because of that topsheet to my buddy. He's smarter than me, so he just painted over the boobs. So, for the first time in my life, I vote less boobs....at least on skis anyway. That's my pearl-clutching blog on topsheets. Thanks for reading.

Pic of my favorite ski AND fav topsheet ever, and my daughter getting to know and love Moment skis.

I skied and loved the deathwish 184 this past season. I am 5’7” 159lbs. I would really like to try the 190 in the deathwish 104 but don’t want to regret it by ending up too long. Any advise?

Also looking to start touring uphill access and in bounds bowls. should I go same 184 length in the DWT or do people go longer

Love the new lineup the Commander is my favorite graphics with Wildcat being second.

I totally understand your thoughts on the graphics. Interesting enough, my 14 year-old daughter picked the new commander as her favorites this year.

She is bummed there are no shirts/hoodies for small women.

I can see why you wouldn't want a risque topsheet, especially something like the 2015 Exit Worlds.. but do you really find the new C108 that bad? I just looked at them and they seem appropriate to me.. unless I'm blind and missing something?

I like boobs, but the only topsheets I've ever really liked that were "risque" were EP graphics.. daughters, wives, gf, and potential hook ups at the hill don't usually like when boobs are the focal point of a graphic.. doesn't help when the misses are upset with us for buying all these skis in the first place

Well, after temptation of telling you all about the Deathwish 104, its now official. I haven't been on them but if they are anything like the Deathwish 112, they should be ripping...especially on the piste.

Also tested the new Commander 108. Lower mountain man-made ice at Squaw was no match for those things.

It's not bad at all - in fact, it's an incredible topsheet!

The problem is that I got a very large stick stuck waaaayyyy up my butt a long time ago, and it's been so long and it's so far up there, I can't get it out. So, to deal with the pain, I'm stuck complaining about otherwise incredible topsheets on TGR.

Agree with the no more boobies petitioners. I probably would have pulled the trigger on Wildcat 108s last year if not for the nipple on the statue. I spent an inordinate amount of time zooming in on that nipple trying to decide how bad it would be with wife/daughters/friends. Filled that quiver spot with something else. Now I have a different problem - can’t decide between Wildcat 101 and Deathwish 104. The awesome WC graphics this year might be the deciding factor. C98 still on my mind too, though.
