Thumbs up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

I highly reccomend it. I thought it was much better than the Gene Wilder version. Once again the Depp/Burton formula proves to be magic. Saw the Corpse Bride trailer too- looks very promising.

skiguide and I saw it today while we were in Minneapolis...in IMAX no less. Fuckin' great movie. Have to agree that Depp shines in it. I didn't know that Bonham Carter was in it...that was a nice surprise.

saw it last night; was trippy and super fun. Depp/Burton is brilliant. Some classic delivery in there.

I liked having more of a backstory to Willy Wonka. Pretty cool. Visually amazing. The scene with the dentists row house on its own in a snow covered field was incredibly striking. Overall it was a winner.

This was Riley's first movie. She did great through the movie, but afterwards was in some sort of weird place. Looking back and forth all over the place and pretty much unaware that we were there talking to her. I'm thinking it may have been way too overstimulating.
