Welp I left my place in Central Park at 6:15 and thought I’d be fine. Got onto 270 and hit a plow brigade going 25 mph just before i25. I had to follow them all the way to the exit before baseline road. Ugh. I lost time, but when I turned onto Canyon my eta was was still 7:33 so I was ok right? I lost cell service and when it came back I was in the backup to hit the Nederland roundabout with a +17 delay with an ETA 8:20 and rising. Then I saw the Eldora tweet saying if you are not in Nederland or very close you might was well turn around. I didn’t want to mess with the roulette so I cut my losses and went home.

I told the wife to get the girls 3.5 and 6.5 ready to head back to Boulder and x county in North Boulder Park. We had a great time and my wife drove us home after my three pint lunch. It was too much car time and frustrating, but a good salvage after cutting my losses.

When we left North Boulder Park snow was holding up as of 12:30. I’d say I will last to lunch tomorrow.

Man, nice audible. Haven’t tried xc stuff but that seems like a nice alternative with kids to that clusterfuck craziness. Well played.

I just went back through the 24 hour cam lol. Looks like maybe 4" throughout today and about 2 of that came kinda late. Less than 1/2 since close but it is still snowing (6PM), according to the cam anyway. Should ski real nice tomorrow. Sucks I can't go tomorrow. unless its 6+ overnight. Then, I can't not go, I’ll ignore responsibilities at that point.

I haven't skied down Mule Shoe all year. Last time I skied it was with a few of you guys.

Mule Shoe was strangely closed a few times this year, so I've only skied it a handful of times this year

I skied down it yesterday. It wasn't as death defying as expected. Still plenty of snowboarders sliding down it on their backs.

There never were any reservations or charges this season. The only restriction was that if you were less than 3 people, you couldn't park up front on weekends. Not sure if that one is still in effect, but all it means is a slightly longer walk.

Bright light green jacket, white pants, teles, and an 11 year old racer girl sidekick. Will be hanging by the race course a lot but we'll probably free ski too.
