    i have finally arrived. *bow*

Seems like a really easy fix to this situation, and I could never tell that they did anything for me anyway. They were only intended to make stepping in easier, and had nothing to do with retention or release, as far as I know.
And I hadn’t modified anything all day, i was getting the itch, you know...

I'm pretty pissed that this was not explained before I bought Wardens to go with my Maestrales. Time to track down my grinder.

Amer probably can't give these fittings the green light because they don't meet DIN testing specifications, but from a real-world perspective dragging the toe roller over the toe insert ribs probably isn't going to kill anyone. Might ding up the plastic toe rollers though, so just don't fall and it won't be an issue.

Someone who works in a shop should do some testing and see if the insert ribs actually change the release values, that's the only way to know.

Asking this question a year out - how have the tecton's held up?

Having said that, the Shift is heavier and has one less lifter so won’t tour quite as well, but that’s not to say they aren’t designed to tour.

I personally would go for Shifts (I have some on order) for a mainly resort based set up, even though they are un tested by public.

Either binding will probably do you well
