Nothing wrong with that. I like to make mini sammies with a roll and dollops of whatever from my plate. Sooo yummy. Like, oh, lets have a green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sammie. The best.

Fresh cranberry orange relish- I make it every year, super easy & fast (if you have a food processor). The recipe used to be on the Oceanspray bag but they took it off years ago, but it's here https://www.oceanspray.com/en/Recipe...-Orange-Relish Cut back to 1/2 cup sugar though & refridgirate for a while before eating. It's the perfect bittersweet & cool compliment to all the fatty salty stuff.

Every year we splurge on king crab instead of the usual turkey deal. Let's be honest, turkey isn't the greatest and if you're going for it once a year, we may as well go big.

So butter. Favorite side is butter.

well, this thread got off track (I'm shocked) but thought I would segue and add a "driving" side for thanksgiving.

if you have a long drive today, I suggest the true thanksgiving song, sorry adam sandler' alice's restaurant.

runs about 19 minutes and is the best thanksgiving road trip song there is !

I would say hair pie. But that’s old school.

So today it’s a clam sandwich

Cashew gravy has been my staple since my vegetarian days. People love it. I also make a smoked oyster dressing that goes over well with the east coast crowd.

We are actually having turkey this year, which I'm a bit disappointed about as I'm not a big fan. Usually my go to main is Persian Fesenjan (pomegranate-walnut stew) made with duck but I will be making a heap of Persian rice (basmati with herbs and spices, golden raisins and cooked to make the tadigh (crispy golden crust).
