I've got one at the lake house and one at the house I rarely go to. One has a hood and goes all the way to my ankles, it's my favorite. I wear it to the dock when skinny dipping. The other is knee length with no hood, it's not near as cozy.

As far as shitting? Just take it off, it's not like it takes more than a 1/2 second.

Robe quivers?

Indeed. I’ve got a heavy terry cotton for the hot tub, a packtowl robe for daily post shower use (wish they still made these), an Ugg heavy fleece for guest room and a Fishman donut robe for parties. Solid Fukien quiver of robes currently!!
