Not sure what vape you are using but my HIGHly scientific research methods lead me to believe you might need a higher output device. I too struggled with replicating the erl/gummie effects and thus the search began. I was in Barbary Coast in SF and they had multiple devices to use with your purchase. My search ended on that fine day after using one of their VapeXhale EVO. You can use it with flower and concentrates and they have adaptors so you can use it with your favorite glass piece(s).

Wow - that's quite the device! I was looking for something a little more discreet/portable/compact. Mine comes in a nice little case like a compact with a slot for everything.

I plan on doing a full trip report after a few more days of use/experimentation but I can tell you that I think I'm getting it dialed in now that I'm more comfortable with the vape and the strain I'm using. This was not just my first vape usage but also my first time with a concentrate so I played it conservative at first. Now I can take 6 long vapes (tokes?) and achieve a comfortable relaxed state. I get big clouds which seems to be desirable from what I've read and watched on videos (but what do I know?).

I figured out that if I hold down the button for a few seconds before I vape it works better. There is a "sesh mode" but I can't see how that is helpful - how hard is it to push the little button? The "sesh" timer is only 10 seconds so unless you're puffing like a freight train I don't see the advantage.

I'm using a CO2 CBD/THC oil so I vape at 350°F (pen has four settings. Next highest is 390°F. Optimal temp for CBD oil is 356°F according to this article.

I'm pretty happy with my pen - did a lot of reading before I settled on a KandyPens and bought one of their high end models. No sense in pussyfooting around buying something that is less than optimal and then having to purchase another (and end up spending just as much in the long run).

I bought directly from the company because IMO it's always easier to deal direct. Love that they have a lifetime warranty on batteries.

Cracks me up that all their advertising involves rappers and here I am a 50yo white woman in small town USA. A customer service rep told me the majority of their clientele are retirees which I'm sure is true. Most of the time when I'm visiting one of our local cannabis stores the other customers are my age or older and look like your best friend's mom & dad. LOL!

Yeah but the Yummy really brings it down IMO. Def. has a strong couch lock side. Funny that the box says "energy, euphoria, focus" because I get none of that. This is not a strain I would want to use if I had something to do or needed to focus. However I did sleep like a log last night.

Re: the cartridge - I noticed, and spoke to a budtender who had the same experience, that the Pearl cartridge vapes very easy. If you're used to something with a little tighter draw the same draw on a Pearl cartridge will give you a massive hit. I did find it a bit harsh no matter how light a draw I took. I don't know enough about concentrates to know if that's the strain or the cartridge or what.

It would be interesting to try each of these stains individually.

I’ve been dealing with the first symptoms of plantar fasciitis and a bum shoulder for the past 5 months or so. I’m in Utah, so products are limited. But Floyd’s of Leadville has got their CBD products in s bunch of bike shops. 1 25mg tablet every night has helped noticeably when added to my normal stretching/pt stuff.
    Great stuff.

That's great! You can order from this company in Portland Oregon if you're looking for something else. Their CBD is all hemp derived. The honeystix are nice. CBD-lish.

On another note re: the CBD strains I've been trying. As I mentioned Yummy Dancehall is great for a deep sleep but not something I could function on during the day however the Sour Tsunami is a good daytime strain. I have no problem staying focused and getting things done but by the same token it was not sedative enough to give me a good nights sleep.

    Yummy Dancehall: 15% THC/48.1% CBD
    Sour Tsunami: 14.69% THC/44.82% CBD

The percentages of CBD/THC aren't too far off between the strains but, I'm learning, there is so much more than just CBD & THC at play. I sure would love to be able to take a class on cannabis do a deep dive into this fascinating world.

Other high CBD strains that are available in my area in concentrate I've yet to try are:
    Remedy
    Aliens on Moonshine
    Canna-Tsu
    ACDC

My wife was sold 10/1 CBD tincture to help me sleep. I have found that it doesn't do shit for me in the sleep dept but it does help with minor aches and pain I get in my shoulder after surfing.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

On that site it is just self reporting of what people experience. Can you really quantify those things scientifically beyond doing a brain scan while people are high? Everyone reacts differently and being "happy" or "uplifted" are relative depending on the person's baseline. Method of consumption could play into it to as well. When you write a review on that site there are a bunch of boxes you can tick to describe your experience. It's just a guideline to help you decide because ... yanno.... YMMV

Just curious - what were the actual percentages? I take a PM formula and sometimes add 5mg straight Indica tincture on top of that when I want a real deep sleep.

Per the below photo, I prefer a 10THC to 1 CBD tincture for sleep on the left. The 10/1 CBD is in the middle and for me is good for mild aches and pains. The 1/1 THC/CBD on the right is for day time tripping. I tried to sleep on it once and had the craziest dreams ever.

10 CBD Facts You Need To Know

    #1: Key Ingredient

Cannabidiol is a key ingredient in cannabis, one of more than 60 compounds

unique to the plant and grouped under the umbrella term “cannabinoids.”

Cannabidiol, otherwise known as CBD, and THC are usually the most common

cannabinoids in the plant and are therefore the most widely studied.

    #2: Won’t Get You High

CBD does not get you high like THC does. THC causes euphoria by binding to

special CB1 and CB2 nerve receptors in the brain. CBD does not bind to these

receptors, so cannabidiol does not get you stoned.

#3: CBD From Hemp is Legal

CBD can be made from medical marijuana plants or industrial hemp plants.

Marijuana is illegal under federal law but legal in some states. Industrial hemp

when grown in other countries can be imported legally into the United States,

making it easier for consumers to get CBD treatment without breaking the law.

    #4: Cannabinoid Levels Vary

CBD and THC levels, known as cannabinoids, vary between plants. Marijuana

plants grown for recreational use tend to be high in THC and varying amounts of

CBD. Industrial hemp plants are very low in THC while medical marijuana plants

    are typically high in CBD.

    #5: No Prescription Needed

It is legal to order CBD made from industrial hemp plants online for use in any

state without a prescription. Individuals ordering CBD products made from

medical marijuana plants must live in a state where medical marijuana is legal

    and have a prescription.

    #6: Has Medical Value

Scientific studies show CBD provides therapeutic medicinal benefits. According

to a 2013 review published in the British Journal of Clinical Pharmacology,

soothes nausea and vomiting, acts as an anti-oxidant to reduce free radicals that

cause neurodegenerative disorders, and works as an anti-inflammatory to reduce

swelling. CBD also stimulates appetite and relieves pain.

    #7: Benefits the Mind

CBD also combats psychological issues, including working as an antipsychotic to

combat psychosis. Additionally, CBD works to reduce chronic anxiety and

depression disorders. These benefits of CBD are also helpful for patients

struggling with temporary anxiety and depression resulting from a more serious

    medical condition.

    #8: Combats Cancer Spread

CBD products may reduce the spread of some types of cancer cells.

The National Cancer Institute reviews several studies that show cannabidiol may

have a protective effect against cancer. This review includes research

investigating the benefits of CBD treatment for a variety of cancers, including

    breast, colorectal, and lung cancers.

    #9: Reduce THC Fallout

CBD counteracts the negative effects of THC. According to research published in

the British Journal of Psychiatry, CBD seems to prevent THC-induced memory

impairment. CBD may also ease paranoia and other negative side effects

    commonly associated with THC.

    #10: Helping Children with Seizures

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted University of

California at San Francisco researchers permission to study the effects of the

purified cannabidiol drug on children with uncontrolled seizures. Study

participants are all between the ages of 1 and 18 years, and all suffer symptoms

resistant to conventional treatments. Many participants have Dravet syndrome, a

condition that begins in early childhood and causes frequent, disabling seizures

on a daily basis. The FDA and Drug Enforcement Agency promise to monitor the

research closely. Pending FDA approval, more institutions will take up the study.

Those ratios (your 1:1) are usually hybrids unless the specify they are for sleep.

    CBD Oil - Official Thread

I was on Denver for work last week and picked up some Harlequin from a excellent dispensary. Only had the flower, (yeah, I know this is an oil thread). Was one of my favorite smokes. I have taken CBD oils orally and used a grip of topicals with only mild relief from injury pain. Some have have had a small amount of thc in them too. For whatever reason, when I combusted this strain, it worked significantly better. I don’t recall the CBD test level but the THC came in around 3%. Was pissed I had to leave it in CO!
Carry on with the oil chat. Interesting stuff. Can’t wait for it to go legal in WY! Although, I will probably be on an old folks home before that happens.

I only chose to title it "CBD Oil" because that was where I started and really it's still oil even in flower form, right? I have since tried vaping some CBD concentrates. I've tried Sour Tsunami which is nice and mellow but not overly sedative (couch lock) like Yummy Dancehall. Harlequin sounds interesting esp. since it is Sativa dominate. I LOL'd when I read it is a descendant of good ol'Columbia Gold.

    From Leafly:

    What is Harlequin?

Harlequin is a 75/25 sativa-dominant strain renowned for its reliable expression of CBD. A descendant of Colombian Gold, a Nepali indica, and Thai and Swiss landrace strains, you can depend on Harlequin to provide clear-headed, alert sativa effects. Unlike most high-CBD strains, Harlequin almost always develops a CBD:THC ratio of 5:2, making this strain one of the most effective out there for treatment of pain and anxiety, as CBD can counteract THC’s paranoia while amplifying its painkilling properties. Flavors can range from earthy musk to sweet mango, but without a doubt, what draws crowds to Harlequin is its ability to relax without sedation and to relieve without intoxication.

Given that strain a shot, KQ, if it’s around ya. If you don’t want to go the combustion route, The Mighty or Crafty from Storz and Bickel are both awesome flower vapes.

Had no idea what the origins of that strain were. Makes sense. Probably haven’t heard “Colombian Gold” since 1990 or so!

Harlequin is available in flower locally. I would prefer it in concentrate but could make an exception.

Sour Tsunami is really growing on me. I like that it provides relief without making me foggy or knocking me out. I'm also totally sold on CBD gummies.

The other day my back was bothering me from having bucked several tons of hay the day before so I had a Craft Elixers Pioneer Square CBD Pineapple Crush and followed-up with a couple hits of Sour Tsunami. Man alive it was amazing. Pain gone and I was clear headed able to focus on what I needed to get done. Later in the evening when I felt like my back and shoulders were tightening up again I had 4-5 hits of Sour Tsunami and was golden.
