When will phUnk build his AS-X?

So phUnk has had his AS-X for almost a week now. Actually almost 2, but he was out of town the first week. The important thing is that it’s not yet built.

1) WTF?

2) Let’s start a pool on when he’ll finish and have his first ride. Winner gets, I don’t know, a picture of my dog.

If he can actually work on it in the evenings, I say he can have it built by Thursday, with the first official ride Saturday. Though I don’t think he’ll actually work on it every night.

So I say built by Saturday morning at 3am, causing him to sleep in and miss this Saturday’s Crest ride. Since by the time he gets up it’ll be too hot to do a “real” ride, first ride will be Sunday.

Cuz I bought a frame like almost a month ago and have yet to by a single additional part to go on it (wuz I going to buy your thrice-busted fork jay?). I say he'll have the AS-X done way before I get my frame built. So probably Halloween shouldn't be a problem.

Crinkle has a point with the spite thing, though

There is always the "take it to sportsden and let them build it" option since phunk knows people there and can get it built relatively cheap.

Though you forgot the part about driving halfway up Mill Creek Canyon following the wrong car because you're retarded, Mrs. Frizzo driving you back up to get your car, and me buying you lunch because you forgot your wallet (also because you're retarded).

I say 3 weeks. I mean, he did promise pics ages ago. The least he could have done is post a pic of the frame, all the components lying on the ground, and him standing next to it scratching his head.

If you need help finishing (or starting) your bike, I'm home Wednesday from Seattle. Bring the parts, a 6er of PBR and you'll be ripping AS-X goodness by Thursday morning. (headset press, bottom bracket tool, facing, bleeding, etc..)

My build is going swimingly, thanks for asking.

old handlebar and hammer as headset removal device - check
5/8" threaded bar, 2 nuts and 4 washers as a headset press - check
Truvativ/Shimano BB tool that only works on one side of my multi-modal bottom bracket -check...wait, WTF! Who makes a BB that takes Truvativ style on one cup and RaceFace style on the other. Oooohhh, Shimano does, nevermind.

Apparently I have to compress the suspension to get the front mech on, which is pointless until I can install the cranks. Prolly gonna need some more chain too. Can you mix SRAM chain w/ Shimano chain? My wallet is getting thin.

Edit: Anybody got a BB tool like this I can borrow:

Double edit: It's actually BBT-2 style on both sides and Truvativ style on only 1 side. Sup wit dat?
