Cresthavens! Tree ripened. My kitchen smeels like sweet peachy parfume. Incredible.

Just had some fresh slices of my homemade soudough ciabatta with sliced Palisade peaches and a drizzle of honey... tastes a lot like summer!

That's crazy. How a tree fruit comes in contact with salmonella is interesting. Contaminated water perhaps?

Just found a recipe for peach, prusciutto, and ricotta bruschetta.

I know what's on the menu tonight.

    Early Redhavens!

The owners of the farm stand where I buy peaches said that between the inability to find workers to pick and the heat the crop is going to be meager this year. Such a sad state of affairs. It's just one thing after another.

I just had my first redhaven of the season! So damn good! I made a mess of myself and had to change my shorts afterwards.

I didn’t realize peaches had laxative properties

Palisade peaches were pretty spectacular this year. Wife made a big peach crisp yesterday... so I have peach crisp with my coffee for breakfast today.

Also, the peach panzanella a couple weeks back was on point.

Roza or Rosa. They came in (and quickly went out) couple weeks ago. You may still be able to get them but around my parts they are done.

Developed in Washington state, this peach is sweet with a balanced tanginess. While it is named for the Roza district in Washington, the Spanish word “rosa” describes its color, a beautiful red hue to go with its juicy, succulent flavor. This is one of the first true freestone peaches of the season. Roza ripens in mid-August.

You're killing me. Just went to the corner gas station to visit the Idaho peach sellers who are there every late August, they were there yesterday. Must of sold out and went home.

Had some pretty tasty palisade peach cobbler this evening. I'm pretty lucky to be married to lady who can cook extremely well.
