You were there last spring, right?
Im planning a trip there in the spring, april/may/june, depending in wich month the summiting and skiing down from the W-peak would be the most feasible, weather wise.

Yeah, I was there, I'd say, last january and july. Don't know nothing about climbing but if you didn't find that link yet - here it is: http://www.go-elbrus.com. These guys are mountain guides which rule backcountry operations, mountaineereng and Elbrus ascents with and without riding down from the peak.
