Anyone know brake compatibility between models?

Have 75mm p/z 15 brakes, looking for at least 115mm.

What’s a p/z brake? AFAIK, all the turntable heels can share brakes, but easier just to trade the entire assembly (less the dildo).

By the by, this paint here is a pretty good match for FKS orange for touch ups. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007KMUM9U...ing=UTF8&psc=1

I believe the race Forzas in the following link are Z's... https://www.tetongravity.com/forums/...KS-Pivot-Heels

I'm getting all mixed up. Your quiver is inspiring, sir.

I did not know they were called that. I have a few of those in the parts box and always worked around them, never put one in service.

I probably have an extra half moon in my box, though I’m inclined to hoard these parts and this doesn’t answer your question re: “good online source.” I believe, outside of finding a willing benefactor on the TRG, your best bet is to buy brake assemblies from Look.

Note that I was less high on that solution until I broke a pivot arm on some old ZRs. Got a nice shiner from that one. If the half moon is breaking, other parts in the assembly might also be fatigued.

I robbed the half moon from an older pair with skinny brakes. The pair i put it onto is working well. Theyre like new apart from that one half moon so theyre mint now. Ive been searching for skinnies to fit my current budget and found a good desl. Missing link is the half moon from the skinny brake heels that i robbed. Ive got a week or so to find one. I may try my buddies shop. The only ski shop in town but small city where hockey and skidoos is #1 and skiing isnt really on the radar so i dont think ill have much luck there

LMK if you strike out. I have an old polycarbonate half moon that’d probably work fine and I’d be happy to drop it in the mail in the spirit of pass it on.

I just combed through the last several months’ worth of posts to find where one of you posted an Amazon link to touch up paint that matched the fks/forza orange. Now I’m not seeing it.

    Does anyone have that source?

Well that was embarrassing. But thank you nevertheless. Do we know if the fks orange is similar to the forza orange?

I havent recieved my half moons from slopestyle ski shop yet but they were very helpful when i phoned them. Sounds like a cool shop. Stockpiling half moons is a good indication. I got some gripwalk afd's from them as well. Both reasonably priced. They ship to canada by post as well

Anyone have a line on buying AFDs? Got some old Rossi 185 race FKS that I’d love to revive but both toes are missing the AFD.

    I believe it’s warranty@rossignol.com
They have helped me out with a set mailed to the door. There’s also a guy in gear swap with gripwalk afd’s with towers

Slopestyle-ski has AFDs as well, pretty sure someone at the shop is a mag. I think there's some modding to put current AFDs on the older race toes, there's a thread or post somewhere.

@bamboocoreONLY is whom you need to talk to at slopestyle-ski. Just hooked me up with 2 half moons.

Speaking of warranty/AFD's, I've been beating my god damned head against a wall trying to figure out why my moment wildcats started to suck after replacing one afd on my FKS155's (black/orange). I used new in plastic race AFD's from Look, turns out, they aren't *really* compatible first, the little wing/hooks don't lock in, but mostly that the AFD's are a different height. Look confirmed that they had been getting "varying results" from people using the new stock afd's on older toes by modding the wings slightly, but he didn't mention afd height (probably can't recommend sanding it down). He did say some folks got good results with some modifications, others ended up retiring the bindings.

I can't get a good/accurate measurement since its mm's we're talking here. but if anyone has one of these AFD's lying around, I'd love to get one. I may pull one from a different pair of skis, but prefer trying to find one first. The circled one, not the x'd one.
