    To write. That's the point.

We were supposed to learn cursive in 4th grade but I just didn't do it. I'd turn the assignments in printed and nobody ever said shit so I just kept doing it.

I keep a journal and I can't read half of what I wrote the next day. Kinda seems like it defeats the purpose, but whatever.

The only failing grade I ever received in my educational career was in elementary school cursive. I have never recovered from the trauma. I made it my mission to never receive another failing grade and I never have. But my handwriting still sucks.

If your handwriting was any good, they’d never have allowed you to write prescriptions in the first place…

    medical fact.

My Dad was the worst, true fact. He was a lefty but the nuns beat it out of him so he wrote with his right hand. And he was a Doctor. Indecipherable.

Sometimes at school he'd drop me a note and I'd put it in my pocket and ask random people if they could interpret it. THey'd always take the paper all confident and hand it back beaten.

Did OK with cursive in grade school, but my surveying and drafting instructor in college was a hardass. No matter how dark the evening outdoor lab, in the late fall sleet, those surveying notes on little tiny boxes of field paper had to be perfect. Gave up cursive for university cause all the practice printing field text beat it out of me. Can still do my letters, but my printing is both faster and far more legible.

My 10yr old daughter has never learned cursive, and the way they taught her her printed letters was atrocious.

My dad had nothing to do with teaching me cursive, yet when I compare my cursive to his, it's almost identical.

Group flying a very fancy, expensive kite next to a a bunch of Ponderosa pines. That kite is going to 50 feet up there for years. Along with the football they threw at it that got stuck in the kite.

My 13 y.o. is in the next room playing video games with his friends. At least a dozen times now I've heard him say, "Leeeroyyy Jennnnkins!

Apparently the kids are discovering "classic" memes.
