Agreed. These stupid fucks that want a deep cut edge between lawn and mulch. They annoy me. Mulch beds are cut in spring, but it’s the same level.
    Fuck whacking weeds.
I’m amused by a quick push with no whacking necessary

I saw a VW Jetta today, older but not ancient, that had to have had the patina wrap applied because I have never seen that perfect all over orange color before. It was truly a sight to behold. But I was too slow on the draw to get a picture. The cherry on top was the bumper sticker: I heart crack whores.

Passenger door is better. Depending upon how they parked, front or rear bumper/grill. Increase the likelihood that they won't see it before they pull away.

I contact the hospital to get my written records and a copy of my scans. Back n forth I get a .pdf of my records. A week goes by and I check in about my scans. They say they can mail or I can pick up. Great, I'll be by. Show up and they give me a CD. I say to the women, "wow, this is old school, eh"...while laughing. I'm good because I still have an old Mac in my shop with a player. Open the envelope and the instructions state it will not open on a Mac. Nothing left to do but smile smile smile

Docs look at xrays on PC monitors. Radiologists have big high res ones. Why they use CD's instead of flash drives to give images to patients or for docs in another hospital is beyond me.
I have a CD reader/writer I bought to load music from the CD's I never play any more to my iPad for travel. I think I've done two, and never taken the iPad on a trip yet. If I do take it it will be loaded with Netflix stuff, probably not music.

    Welcome back to 1992

Haha! What a kook I am. The kid handed this one to me and it's an internal drive. Having a hard time stuffing it into my laptop [emoji3]

If by amusing, you mean not knowing whether to laugh hysterically or sob inconsolably ....... sure.

    Things That Amuse You

Bought a shuttle pass this weekend to do some mountain bike riding. Nice mix of downhill, freeride, flow type stuff. Took my son for the first time, which was awesome.

Anyways, at an intersection we all stopped to regroup and chatted for a minute, and a rider was coming up. Kind of heavyset girl, peach t-shirt/blouse tucked into mom jeans, big round eyeglasses, reflectors still on her bike, no pads or protection except for a helmet. She paused, and my first inclination was to get going so we wouldn’t get stuck behind her, but we weren’t ready so we waved her ahead. I jumped in behind her and holy shit she ripped. I kept up for about a minute but she absolutely toasted me on the corners and was gone pretty quick. I’m not all that fast but I can usually keep up with most when I’m trying, at least on descents.

All my stereotypes were wrong. So wrong. And it amused me. Maybe she was out hustling?

This resonates with me- like on a profound level. Everything that gets installed in the yard should be done with an eye toward getting a mower close enough to the edge that no trimming is required. My wife doesn’t get that. Every time I turn around, she’s stacking rocks or pavers and planting shit in the wrong place. Jesus Hercules Christ

It's almost like there's a thread for that. If it's any consolation, my wife does the same thing. However, she puts up with a metric shit ton of my dumb shit so we're mostly even. If there's a deficit it's on me.

Ha! Kinda sounds like a hustle and if so that's even better.

Years ago at a big-ish track meet this black girl gets off a school bus in jeans, what are they called...Capri? Like 3/4 length and wearing whatever brand sneakers. Most all the other kids are decked out in the latest greatest running attire. She smoked everyone in the 100, 200 and of course anchored the relay ftw. It was incredible. Put a smile on my face.
