Craftsman occupied a unique market; American made hand tools with a lifetime warranty and easily exchangeable at any Sears. I don't know where you get that combination of product, service, and accessibility now. .

Ace Hardware sells Craftsman tools. Probably easier to warranty exchange now than ever(Way more Ace stores around than there ever was Sears)

Did you miss the caveat emptor? Research before buying, you know, because even some high end stuff gets made in China. Then the factory steals it and sells it at Harbor Freight. Ethically dubious at best I admit.

Dunfree beat me to it. Very select items, and certainly not the whole store, but there are a few gems, like my impact.

Good quality products can came from China.

Harbor Freight is not good quality...90% of the time.

Ace and the big box home stores sell Craftsman branded tools made overseas. Their stock is also a fraction of what Sears used to sell. You can decide if that's good, bad, or some combination. The lifetime warranty has been chiseled for years. Stanley Black & Deckers says it will be honored for now.
