The issue I have with Reflecttech or whatever is it only works for very long radius skis. Whatever the renegade used to have (35m?) seemed to work pretty well. When you shorten the turn radius (like in the HOji, and new Ren), you get more rocker, which is the wrong answer. You would want less rocker in a shorter-radius, more all mountain ski.
The V1-V2 Raven was great because it still had enough of a flat spot to get good grip when touring, and not be totally terrible when skiing firm snow and ice. I thought it was the best all round winter touring ski out there. Now, I’m not so sure.
For those wondering the new factory is in canada, same one which makes J skis, and used to make Armada way back when.
