I'm so glad I barely paid attention to the first seven innings. That shit happened like, half a day ago or something.

aaand Bogaerts hits the exact same weak infield ground ball that Mookie hit, except without Mookie's speed, he gets doubled up.
fuck me
Yeah, I know (well) how bars are in Boston, but I'm guessing a lot of them are not at all closed right now. I'm sure someone here could verify...For once Boston bars will be open when NYC bars are closed.
On the plus side, all the Yankees are getting a good night's sleep tonight.
I think the very last Boston pitcher is loosening up right now.
I've been watching Red Sox games for forty years and don't think I've ever been watching at 3:30 in the AM.

Well, that was fun while it lasted.
Sox in 5. G'night.

thank you jeebus....
I'm just grateful it ended on a real baseball play and not an error or a blown call by an exhausted ump.
Man that’s huge. Series is basically over if the Sox win, now the dodgers are favored to tie it up tomorrow
Mookie Betts and Xander Bogaerts, 0 for 15
Red Sox got let down by their bats tonight.. Eovaldi is a stud though, that was heroic. Not sure how our bullpen is gonna look tomorrow night, we may need a complete game from Sale
Yeah, Eovaldi was great. Lights out for five high-pressure innings. In a start, Cora would have pulled him before he got around to Muncy again.
One thing he did was save a lot of the arms out there for tomorrow. Pomeranz, E-Rod or Sale could start. Kelly only threw one inning. Barnes, Hembry, and Brasier just had one as well.
I think that the Sox bats will come alive, and they'll put up like ten runs and it won't matter who's on the mound.
Is this still going on? I woke up on the couch a few minutes ago.
Still up? Or up again?
I turned it off after the 14th finished
Glad to hear LA pulled one out
It really looks like BOS’s series to lose as LA’s offensive production has been only just enough this postseason
These guys will be exhausted for today’s game

I feel asleep and woke back up a couple of times after the 10th, just happened to wake up to see the dodgers win it; and they still had a post game show after. the local networks hoping for a WS lead in must have been pissed.
todays game should be wild, all the pitchers are spent and on short rest.. could be full of home runs, errors and passed balls, no 3-2 game today.
TGR forums cannot handle SkiCougar !
Fuck I think it was a real mistake by Cora to go all in with Evo. Of course if Kinsler makes that play, he would look like a genius. What a clusterfuck.
Pomeranz and erod can go, both lefties and fresh. Pomeranz has had issues but the guy is a good pitcher and personally I think Rodriguez is outstanding, he was unhittable until he got hurt and it's taken him some time but i think he's good to go. So don't give up the ship. And Sale will probably go tomorrow I bet, depending on how his shoulder feels.
Sounds like Cora had pitchers lining up outside his office volunteering to start today. I think the team will be fine.
I did my best... even broke out the good stuff. Oh well, it makes for a more exciting series.

Equals deep sleep

A sport will not survive if it's major event takes place at 2 in the morning.
Fortunately, they don't have to worry about that concussion thing, which will keep it alive for awhile.
Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have bothered going to sleep. I was in bed within a few minutes of that HR.Whatever.[quote]
Glad to hear LA pulled one out
No, the fact that you say he woulda been a genius proves that it wasn't a mistake--it was the right move, as he has consistently done with pitchers throughout this (I have always thought managers should do what he's been doing in the playoffs, and he's kind of proving that it works). Kinsler should have made that play, and probably 99% of the time does. Cora can't manage around something completely unknowable like that, he has to manage to what gives the best chance of winning, and clearly he did that (because he can't predict a play like that and aside from that they arguably had an excellent chance of winning based on what Cora did).
I think last night makes tonight much more of a toss-up than it otherwise would have been. Tonight is a game that might be kind of meaningless in terms of which team 'should' win (which team is better) because of the shambles that both staffs will be, to a large degree. At first I thought that would work in LA's favor, but now I'm thinking that because hitting shouldn't suffer the way pitching likely will this might be better for our guys.
This still ends in LA. I hope.

It’s always been a situation where they really just need one in LA. I’d be shocked if they don’t get that. More offense favors the Sox for sure. The bats rarely stay down for more than one game.
Buehler was so good last night. I don’t see Hill having the same stuff.
Good thing they're not trying to play in Fenway today, this weather is on the radical side. Pouring rain, blowing 30 with gusts to 50, yikes.
