Yanks were so desperate, they wheeled out Bucky Dent for the first pitch last night.

omg who would have ever guessed that someone with no experience and no plan would be so bad at a given job?

Cool, Dodgers hit 32 less, with the pitcher hitting most innings.... but we are still playing baseball.

BoSox led the league in hits, RBIs and runs scored. those seem important.

Gonna be an interesting CS with the Astros league leading ERA, SO, least runs & least hits against those sick hitters.

Do like the Dodgers near the top of both lists, gonna be a fun few weeks.

Dodgers more impressive due to pitcher hitting twice a game minimum and they don’t play in a disgusting greasy smelly shoe(box) of a stadium.

    From the article:

"Up came Stanton and the crowd roared, wanting to believe this would be his breakout moment. Instead he was badly overmatched, taking a first-pitch slider for a strike and then flailing at two more in the dirt -- just an awful at-bat that gave Kimbrel enough room to survive in the 4-3 win that sent the Sox on to the ALCS against the Astros."

    Kinda warms the heart.

Did Sanchez really hit .186 this year?

Stanton will be way awesomer in another year or two as he loses a step and some bat speed and goes back to his usual 40 games per year on the DL.
