    TDF day #1

    great start
Boy from Salt Lake will wear the Maillot Jaune!

    Armstrong passed Jan-HAH

6 Americans in the top 15!

I bet CSC defends the Jersey for a while too.
they have a hell of a team w/ Basso, Julich and Zabriskie, our boy from S L C!

    Did someone question Lance's fitness?
    He looked good today.

Jan got passed, but no worries, he is still in there. Lance would have passed anyone in front of him except the Yellow jersey, plus a few others.

Cold weather, Day 1, I'm getting my fix.

I didn't hear the commentary on the first half but I gather the wind came up for the later riders. Lance did a number on all the guys in the running with him. I don't think his fitness is an issue. I missed the black eye, did it show?

I'd say CSC is going to be in the hunt all right.
It's not so much the model year, it's the high mileage or meterage to keep the youth of Canada happy

That was an amazing moment, just hours into the TdF. I know that Jan put his head through the rear window of his team's car yesterday, that could have been a factor in his subpar performance. But it was still surreal to see Lance cruise past Jan, his minute man, on the 1st stage. The minute+ that Lance put into alot people today is big.

Boonen wins Stages 2 and 3, no changes in the GC. There should be some shakeups of the GC tomorrow after the TTT, should be a good stage. Disco should have some tough competition from Phonak and CSC.

stellar sprint at the end. other than that kind of a yawn day, things will pick up later this week, like artie said, significant changes after tomorrow.
