    Nice!

I just pulled the trigger like two weeks ago after the battle in my cranium came to an end. I had the pass in my cart for probably a month. I could have saved $30 if I didn't get suckered into buying before the price increase they kept emailing me about.

For folks who have got a base Ikon as a cheap add-on to their home mountain season pass... what happens if you cancel/defer your home mountain season pass due to injury?

I got an Ikon as a $300 add-on to my season pass. I also just got surgery that will likely put me out till at least February, so i am probably going to use a medical exemption to transfer my season pass to next year as credit (i know i can do this)... but i have already been issued the Ikon pass separately, and it pretty clearly states no refunds on the Ikon website, so do i just basically get to keep the Ikon for that discounted price? Pretty sweet deal, if that is the case.

IMO, it seems too good to be true, so it probably isn't a pass you keep cheaply

I bet that it becomes voided when you defer your Summit pass to next season

I's also assume that the insurance you paid for your main pass will work for the add on

I've emailed IKON a few times, their customer support is pretty good

If a person wants to ski at a particular area more than the 7 days allowed by the pass, are additional days available at a discount. (E.G. day 8 at ALTA/Snowbird for 50% off the ticket window pass)?

I don't think so. Per snowbasin website (only thing I could find on google) there is no more. You could use your 25% friends and family?

I thought Icon was 30% off and Mountain Collective was 50.

Asking for a friend... if you do something against the rules at one Ikon mountain, can they pull your Ikon pass, or can they just pull your pass privliges to that specific mountain? E.g. if you duck a rope at Mammoth and patrol there pulls your pass, does that mean you have now also lost access at all other Ikon locations (even the ones that are partners not just owned by Alterra)?

^^ Yes, your pass will be impacted where you try to use it.

ALTA just confirmed that any day in excess of 7 (full IKON) will cost the walk-up window rate.

But you can buy a 25% discounted pass “for a friend”?

You get 8 discounts all together.

Mountain Collective is 50% unlimited. But you have to contact each resort and set up a CC# for direct to lift.

    Big win for MC, IMHO.

If anyone is still planning to purchase an Ikon pass and you bank with Chase, check your promotions. I just noticed this 20% cash back on Ikon purchases over $299.

Note that it is specifically Sapphire Reserve. Other Sapphire or Chase cards don't have the offer.

I was told that you should not use FF for additional days, but it probably would not be checked. "Legalo, il legalo...It's a gray area"

I went to Kitzbuhel. Did a couple days on a work trip to Munich. Fun mountain but trash conditions (was there during Saharan sand storm that dumped sand all over the Alps). Would go back with better conditions.

    Ikon Pass

Was in the Dolomites last year.
Ikon was great for the Super Dolomiti resorts.
Day doing the Sella Ronda was fun.
Was all groomer zooming when I was there so be prepared with something skinny and sharp.
Food amazing, views amazing, skiing was fine, not great, not terrible. Would love to go back

I had a similar Dolomites trip. Beautiful place, great food, we had crap snow. Wanted to tee off on a bunch of couloirs but mainly skied pretty groomers.

I wouldn't plan a euro trip around the ikon pass. Day tickets are cheap enough at other places in euro land. Maybe hit one ikon spot then enjoy a place you really want to goto.

this. Did EuroBBI last year and it's an Epic resort (while I have an Ikon) so paid for all tickets. Six days of skiing cost around $350. Compared to the overall cost of flying to Euroland and lodging and food, saving on lift tickets should not drive where you go.

Making the rounds. Doesn't seem like the skier experience matters. We're Vucked!

Yeah, but where do they keep the moguls in the summer? They don't want us to know. Why?
