Fine print is age at time of purchase.
This. I never enter actual birthday on anything that doesn't require it, because it is personal identifiable information. If you visit any ikon resort to get your kid a free ticket, that is how you initially get in their system, so that is when you need to pick an ideal birthday. Probably hard to change after it is in the system.
idk if this was already known but they just announced st moritz has been added

Don't forget to shot me a PM before renewing so you can help out the community here. If you are new, for sure send me a PM so you can help yourself.
After the 18th, the best prices will be with the group buy. Its a small increase for Adults to give you a few more weeks to decide. Child prices will increase a bit more. PM me for details.
Yeah, they won't catch the "mistake" because there is no mistake, they go by date of purchase vs date of birth.
Yeah, she's been in Ikon's system for many years, and I have a hard time believing that I could suddenly have my daughter "Jennifer" disappear and a different younger daughter "Jenny" appear on my account. [note: name changed to protect the innocent]

Weird that I haven't been getting spammed to renew my pass. I see a little advert on the side of my screen as I type telling me I have 6 days, 5 hours, 29 minutes and 27 , 26, 25 seconds....

they are spamming the shit out of the slc airport though
Just here to complain about this years pricing.
Fucking crack dealers they are. Start out cheap. Get us used to traveling all over. Destroy local mountains. Then jack the price and it’s hard to say no.
Kill all the telemarkers
But they’ll put us in jail if we kill all the telemarkers
Telemarketers! Kill the telemarketers!
Oh we can do that. We don’t even need a reason
Then don't buy one ^^^

What's the advantage of the group buy, reduced renewal? Or a free pass for minimum purchase...?
Usually no reduction in your price.
The big benefit is that Ottime gets some free passes as the "Captain" of the group buy. These passes are then given too deserving Mags who might not get to ski on a pass due to a variety of reasons. There is always a thread for folks to nominate people for these free passes.
Doesn't save or cost you anything other than pm'ing Ottime some details. But the free pass benefits certainly bring joy to many.

I think they should Jack the shit out of the passes, like 2000. Make people decide how much they want to ski. At $2000k it’s about 9-14 days of day tickets depending on resort. And then they need to keep day ticket prices the same. It would cut down on the crowds, give them the same profit margin, and keep people happier. The only people that won’t be happy are the ones that can afford it and they can go join the epic shit show.

I would agree with this if they hadn't jacked day tickets to the moon and removed almost every avenue for getting discounts. At $2K it's a definite no for me and a big chunk of their pass base. Remember the pass is the loss leader to get you to the resort to really spend money.
Much as I hate the crowds (although being retired I can usually avoid them except on midweek powder days) I'd hate to see prices raised to limit the number of people who buy passes. Skiing has never been a democratic sport but it wasn't always as elitist as it is now and I don't want to see it become even more so.
$800 is a lot of money for me to ski, it just is. $2000 would price me out.

Magic-699
Bromley-825
Ikon-1250
Epic-982
Those are prices for full passes with no blackout. There are plenty of options that will remain for single, private smaller mtns all over that will be in a friendly budget range for most. But skiing season length, grooming, infrastructure, etc are leaps and bounds above the private areas at the ikon and epic mountains. I can ski for free at bromley and would rather pay for Stratton.
I do shell out for first tracks on my pass so I do benefit from that, but it’s definitely expensive.
Ikon and epic raising prices more would directly benefit non related ski areas by sending customers to them. They would also be cutting crowds and still profiting.
