That was a joke. Just sayin.

Yes. Setting it up currently to be open with first day of sales. Please, go through the group buy for renewals and new purchase to help boost our ability to help other maggots. New sales cost about a beer more than renewals.

Literally what I did for 23/24. Committing for spring 2024 which should make it a bountiful season for me hopefully

Thankfully, it looks like Arapahoe Basin will still be 5-7 days on Ikon.

    The rest is here:

The only thing that still has me somewhat skeptical about the basin remaining limited is that the deal still isn't finalized. I would say I am quite a bit more optimistic for next season though.

Has any other resort ever changed access status after the pass announcement/ on sale?

really not sure what to for passes next year now. Had an abasin and ikon this year but I just really don't find myself enjoying copper anymore so idk that its worth it. In a sense I almost wanted abasin to be unlimted on the full because it would have made this decision a lot easier.

It would be a shitty move if they were to change the 5/7 days to unlimited after folks have purchased their passes. If Al has any say, we're good. However, Alterra/KSL doesn't give two shits about the customer experience so a bit of a wild card there. A-Basin also just deferred my wife's pass (back injury/surgery) so we don't have much of a choice anyhow. I'll be happy if we can get in another season before they start giving it A-Basin passholders without lube.

Anyone ever get or use the spot pass protection? Curious what their definition of a 'pre existing condition" is

I got it, haven't used it. To me it seemed like a no brainer at $100 thru outside - most ski injuries are seriously expensive.

I'd guess if you have a heart condition and have a heart attack skiing that heart attack isn't covered. But who knows, insurance is good at fucking people.

Anyone used the pass protection because they weren’t able to use their pass?

I'm a big fan of spot for the normal insurance. They don't ask a ton of questions so a doctor's visit would probably be enough proof.

My GF did this but instead of a refund, she took the credit to buy this season’s pass.

Was that from an injury before the ski season started or during the season?

She had an unexpected surgery off season. Thought she could recover but it did not work out that way. Never scanned the pass that year.

Any advantage to taking the credit vs the refund ?

On what date does the renewal discount and kid discount expire for ikon passes? I can't find it. Has it been announced?

Ooof. Lots up in the air with Abasin and I don’t expect any useful information to be shared by then.

Just in case anyone's in a similar situation my 12 y/o ($300ish kid pass) turns 13 (young adult $929) in May and was able to buy his pass at the reduced rate before his b-day.

I did the same thing, and was surprised that the system allowed it to go through. I'm kind of expecting them to catch the mistake at some point and send me a bill!

Friend of mine did it this season for his kid and didn't get the bill, so I'm optimistic there isn't a check in place for that.
