    Hello,

Snow has started falling in the mountains and ski season is quickly approaching! We know you are being asked many questions about what the winter season will hold and if reservations are needed. Currently, lift access reservations will not be required for Ikon Pass holders at most Ikon Pass destinations. With local guidelines changing, this may change quickly. We have made reservations very easy if they are required.

For Ikon Pass destinations requiring reservations, guests will be able to start making reservations on our website or through the Ikon Pass App on November 9. Here is the latest information on reservations:

    · For the full list of destinations and their reservation requirements, please refer guests to https://www.ikonpass.com/en/reservations. Currently, 8 destinations require reservations though that may change as regulations in certain counties are changing daily.
    · Reservations can be made starting November 9, 2020 and can be made anytime through the season, even the day before though quantities may be more limited the closer to the ski date. Reservations can also be cancelled or changed at any time in the app.
    · Guests can only reserve at 1 destination per day and can only make reservations at destinations up to their total amount of days (5 or 7).
    · Reservations can only be made through the guest’s Ikon Pass account, the Ikon Pass App or by calling the call center.
    · Guests can make reservations for anyone in their household.
    · A third party is not able to make reservations on behalf of a guest.
    · A reservation does not count against days used until the pass is scanned.
    · To re-reserve any reservation not used and not cancelled in advance, the guest must call the contact center to cancel the reservation.
    · Partner resorts do not have any access to make or cancel reservations on behalf of the guest.

We strongly encourage guests to view the destination’s specific website before their visit as other rules/regulations may be in place. Should a guest need assistance with a reservation, please refer them to our contact center at 888-365-IKON or info@ikonpass.com

Check out the app yourself and see how easy it is!

I wouldn't describe the process as "easy" per se, but I was just able to make reservations at JHMR through the app.

Once I figured out my log in for this season's pass, it was fairly straightforward to book my JHMR reservations. Fingers crossed that this season happens.

I also reserved at parking day at Eldora via the Parking Whiz app. Also easy

You don't have an IKON Pass Resort Map on your wall and a couple of darts?

I don't think my luddite ass could figure out the logistics of skiing this winter.

Ultimately, I able to do the same on the app. Took a few hours this morning for things to set up, but it worked out eventually.

Yeah, that's a problem. Maybe ski school fams got all the spots? Although no decent terrain is opened till mid Jan anyway

I think you should have to pay if you reserve and don't show up. Or eat the day.
How the hell do people plan skiing so far in advance?
People are just going to reserve whatever and then cancel or no show.

Do you really want to incentivize skiing while sick? You have some mild symptoms, but don't want to no show your reservation because they'll charge you?

Do you think they are releasing them as part of the week of reservations?

There are a lot of families that have a certain week for winter break already on the calendars. Same for the Christmas/New Year's and President's Day weekend. They book early. Go figure.

I would think most people who live near an Ikon non-core resort would buy locals passes this season and skip the travel. I would assume that people who buy Ikon passes either have no choice--Squaw skiers for example--or people who have to travel for good skiing. The latter will have already blocked out their ski weeks and need to make sure they get reservations.

No. But you could get on your fucking phone and cancel. Not everyone gets put on a ventilator.

Honestly, we have no idea what the resort’s limits are. Possible there is no real limit so people don’t have to worry about not getting in. Just a smoke screen to make y’all feel safe and protect them from liability when the shit hits the fan in the first storm day.
