Hey I just read that the Ikon base pass now covers unlimited riding at mammoth (w/ usual blackout dates) This change must of just happened. 599 unlimited riding at mammoth plus other perks makes the base pass worth it for socal mammoth riders.

Utah is pretty weak. As for Big Sky, seven is a very long week, then just drop down to Bozeman and do three or more days at Bridger for 60 bucks a ticket. That's a nice few weeks. Then drive down to Targhee/Jackson, which is close.

Denver kids get 16 days free from Epic; does Ikon have anything like that?

Does anyone know if Ikon is good for anywhere through the rest of spring? Currently have the Keystone/Abasin pass, but it would be cool to get some days at Copper or WP this season.

Has Copper announced a pass price?

I'm hoping I have a little more info before having to kick down plastic. Also hoping for the payment plan like last year.

I’m going Epic base for WP and Eldora. With 3 kids under 5 and a 2019 trip to Japan, not much else is happening for me.

They'd just start charging for lower lot. Wouldn't put it past em. I have a love/hate relationship with that place in the truest sense of the expression.

Thanks! In case anyone else is looking. Here is what the site says, "You can use your 2018-2019 Ikon Pass or Ikon Base Pass starting March 6, 2018 at Big Bear Mountain Resort, Blue Mountain and Snowshoe; and starting on April 9, 2018 at Winter Park Resort, Squaw Valley Alpine Meadows and Mammoth Mountain.

Visit the destination’s season pass office or ticket window and provide your identification. A lift ticket will be provided for the day."

Yes, same plan as last year. $50 down with balance due in August, or charge it all up front.
$459 with the days at Targhee (w/ lodging), Taos, Pow Mow, Monarch, Purg and Verbier is really a great deal.

$459 plus with the days at Targhee (w/ lodging), Taos, Pow Mow, Monarch, Purg and Verbier is really a great deal.
Fuck, Winter Park doesn't offer any of that. No payment plan this year, no other resorts. Plus Copper offers a kids ski free option, no such thing for WP. Goddam I'm pissed.

So, for me, wife, one kid:

    WP only: $429 + $429 + $149 = $1007, all due up front, no other resorts
    Copper only: $459 + $459 + $0 = $918, payment plan offered, 3 days at Purg/Monarch/PowMow/Taos (and Targhee with lodging purchase)
    Ikon Base: $599 + $599 + $149 == $1347, all due up front, all the mountains

If WP offered anything like Copper's deal, I would get the WP only pass without question. Grrr...

Edit: and no, zero, benefits offered for a WP only pass. No discounts, no buddy passes, nothing. Fairly obvious that they're only offering it because they feel like they have to, they want you to purchase the Ikon pass.

Winter Park is becoming whack! I've barely gone this year, don't feel like I'm missing much.
Front Range Country Club experience also offered at Copper. Parking plus secret pass and you're in the hole for ~$1600

Could we get this in spreadsheet form?

Worth mentioning other tangible benefits and disadvantages like the fact that the Epic KA has blackout dates. Abasin usually comes with Taos days. etc

Blackout dates are 11/23-24, 12/26-31, 1/19, 2/16-17. For the Epic Summit, KAB are unrestricted and those are the restricted dates at Breck.

Danno how old is the kid? Can’t find under 5 yo prices on either Ikon or WP’s website. With RMSP and WP, kids <12 were free if purchased early, kids <5 were $30 anytime during the season. Looks like my 2 yo will be $149 which sucks for a full season on Disco.

My kid is 7. I *think* the 5 and under will still be $30, but I didn't look. But the <12 being free is gone at WP. But not at Copper.
