    Thumbs up Found iPod

So Trackhead, Xover and myself were skiing Alta this morning and while skinning up I needed to "talk to a man about a horse" (real shocker for those that have toured with me) so I click out of my skis, walk around a group of trees to a spot of dirt and as I get ready to squat I look down to see an iPod in the snow/dirt.

I cleaned it off, put it in my pocket and continued on my way. Upon getting to work I pull it out, and lo and behold - it works. Huh, cool, an iPod.

Anywho, I'm posting this after multiple search queries turned up nothing. If you lost an iPod while skiing Alta this winter, PM me to describe its playlists and size. Although I'm stoked to keep it, if the real owner can be found, more stoke for him/her.

    Powstash,

Sorry to blaze out of there so fast, had to get back as you know.

Good skiing with you today. But while climbing afterwards, Gramps and a friend of mine swore to leave our skis in the basement for the summer, and start climbing.

No more skiing until Mexico, Senor.

You might also let the mountain's Ski patrol & quest services know in case someone reported it lost.
Good runs when you get them.

For sure. I e-mailed a friend of mine that works there.

I like people like you. Last week I took my watch off at the driving range as it was annoying me and put it on the ground... After golfing I left leaving it there. I realized at home a few hours later went back and someone had turned it into the clubhouse.

I thought it was a goner

I've been on the fence on wether or not I should spend my money on an iPod lately. Now that I hear they can survive a wicked Utah winter at altitude, and still work. I'm buying one. That is unless I can describe the playlist for this one.

Well the playlist question is kind of a trick question. You see I really had a bunch of anti Zoobie rallies that I downloaded onto my iPod.

    dude,

    do what I told ya
take to office and leave with a note attached on where found and on what date - that is the "Alta" way - good karma will come back 'round
let me know if you need me to drop it off for you

You guys should email this to Apple if the owner turns up - they might like the story enough to reward you with an iPod of your own. Companies usually like stories of their products surviving extreme conditions....just an idea. Good on ya for turning it in tho.

iPods have serial numbers engraved on the back. There is a good chance it was registered and Apple can tell you who it belongs to.

Go for the good karma and try to return it. Maybe the guy already replaced it and will tell you to keep the one you found. (or maybe like Lane said, Apple will score you a new one.)
