Anyone know if this 17 refers to the toe or heel height? Assuming there is some ramp angle the heel will be higher, so it this a 17mm toe height?
Still trying to figure out what's going on my MFDs, am I right in thinking that these 914 FIS have the metal, wormscrew heel.. or is it the tab?
Bump of very old thread... but most relevant to my current question.
I picked up a set of 914s with some thin spacer plates, and the toe screws are a little too long even with the spacers. The heel screws look fine.
Am I missing anything from the bindings (specifically the toes) that would explain the screw length? Wondering if I'll get weird ramp angle if I mount these without any plates - - IOW am I missing a toe piece riser?![]()
Driver plates. Did you measure the toe screws? They look fine by the pic. May have been on a thick core old school ski and they used the longer riser plate screws instead of the driver plate screws.

I thought there was all things Salomon binding thread but I could not find it.
Mounted up STH2 and one heel piece does not "click" as it moves along the track. The actual forward pressure seems to adjust as it should but there is no audible indication as usual.
Defective?
I substituted another heel piece and it works fine on that track.
