I too fell asleep to the beautiful white noise of the generator! Selfishly...kind of nice to get some return of investment on it...

I know. Bought mine 10 yrs ago for like $700, needs 2 or 3 gallons max to run all day if needed. Saved me a ton in lost food keeping freezer and fridge cold and preventing the wife from demanding we go to a hotel.

I had to drive to North Bend for businesses with power this time, usually have to drive to Issaquah.

    Opposite of normal.

    PSE = Hopelessly optimistic.

Text and email to customers stating "all power in the area will be restored by 11/23 12:00PM."

    I don't believe them.

I was getting the same 11/23 estimate but my power came back yesterday. I think that 11/23 is the “we have no fucking clue” default

No chance my area has power then. Issaquah Hobart Rd had 10 trees over power lines last night north of Cedar Grove Rd. South of that was still closed.
I've never seen so many BIG trees down in this area (past 13 years). Every one seems like a 4+ hour job to clear tree, repair lines (and sometimes the utility pole itself) and fix conduit.
I just don't see how 28 hours from now then will repair all of that.

Yep. My neighborhood on northside of Squak is the same.

It’s 3100 watt but I just power my fridge and garage freezer mainly. Occasionally plug in the toaster or skillet to cook on. Also use it for a couple lamps at night and to charge things. Off by 8pm to not be a dick to my neighbors. Gas fireplace for heat but if really cold I have one of those space heat dishes that radiate, from what I see those use the least watts of the space heaters.

    I have this generator:
    https://www.amazon.com/DuroMax-XP130...77360820&psc=1

I think I paid a little less 5 years ago, but I'm happy with it. I get 5 hours for 5lbs of propane with heavy load (10,000watts). Not sure on gas range as I haven't timed it yet.
Runs (3) fridge/freezers, 1 small mini-split, (1) 1500watt space heater, tv/dvd player and induction stove top. I was impressed it handled all that. Popped the breaker when my sub-woofer hit while watching Oppenheimer. I unplugged the sub-woofer after that.

I need to get the propane converter for mine. So much more convenient.

New neighbors are quiet and super nice, but JHC are they pigs and lazy. They had a Halloween party, which is nice, and decorated like crazy. This was from this morning, (11/13):

Neighbors across the street this morning. Glad we weren't at home on Tuesday night.

Amazingly our power came back on last night at 9.30. Stunned.

    Still no cable or internet.

Looking like another one rolling in evening of 23rd. Hopefully not as strong as last time.
