Good first look Lee. I'm pretty stoked on these for a Whistler do-it-all binding. Looking forward to your long term review re: reliability and whether a higher climbing aid would help. I'll do that and measure an alpine boot and my Vulcan to the top sheet. Seems like boot sole bottom to topsheet is "convention". Can't hurt to have data point

I was surprised too.

But note how I measured. Alpine bindings usually measure bootsole bottom to ski topsheet.

I measured for AT boots using Lou's methods. I'll stick an alpine boot in the SHIFT and get a number. FYI STH16 and 12 binding delta is 6.5mm

Looking a bit nervous, skier CODY TOWSEND enters a slick European-styled conference room with a long polished table surrounded by engineers and marketing types. He sits down.

ENGINEER 1
So Cody, did you introduce the Shift on that ski forum you were talking about?

CODY
I did.

ENGINEER 1
And how did they react?

CODY
Overall I’d say it went pretty well. A few concerns but I was able to answer most of their questions.

MARKETING GUY
Do you think you can send us a link so we can get an idea of their initial reactions?

I'll see what I can do. I spoke with a local shop in Tahoe who would be keen, but don't know how it would be handled with shipping and what not. I'd prefer to have the group order go through a core local shop, but I'll look into it.

Ripped around on Atomic alpine boots today in resort after a mini dusting on the Backland 107 SHIFT combo. Forgot that part of the run wasn't groomed so was ripping around and zigged to get around some slower movers and ooops into some dust on crust moguls. Gritted teeth and hung on.

Not sure what impressed me more. That i didn't beater pre-release. Or that the skis didn't explode. Or that my knees didn't fold. No gaper pro footy.

Lent the setup to powder11 also for 3 days and he's still alive as is the setup after being on the feet of a 200 pound ex-racer skiing 100 days a year

If only there were more needlessly delayed Olympic skiing events on NBC, perhaps I could win Best Original Screenplay? On the other hand it's finally snowing so pretty sure my focus is shot now.

I think August would be optimistic, so you're safe. That said this isn't intended to be strictly Tahoe -- TMS will ship
