Then when someone states that the Shift "skis like an alpine bindning", everyone seems to demand that they do not just ski like an alpine binding, but rather ski and keep you in as good or better as the best alpine bindings. They do not. The are acceptable for most of us in terms of retention, but they are still just a medium level binding in their alpine mode.
    Yeah... bummer.

The Salomon/Atomic athletes are definitely blowing out of these things too. Since I've had issues I've had my eyes peeled for shift pre-releases on my IG feed and I've noticed a few

Yep on second look that's probably what happened. Should have known better than to gang bang it. Did see buddy up hill.

I thought that as well, guy coming in second clipped his buddies heels. So not a pre release.

Is it just me, or is both the content quality as well as the edit quality on IG several notches below that of YouTube and Vimeo?

I don't know why I ever bother clicking.

Lotsa better ways to waste my time, but I stand corrected about Instagram. This video was posted on the ON3P thread and it's righteous skiing:

I increased the forward pressure a bit, so that the rear part of the metal hash lines up with the triangles. After a few hard days on them up here in the Canadian Rockies, I haven't had any pre-releases and I've released when desired. Time will tell.

Anyone know if there's any hope for ski crampons being available to purchase by the time Spring skiing arrives in the not to distant future??

I chased Salomon again yesterday re more Shift crampons and they're still out of stock of both 100mm/120mm widths and their next stock won't hit their warehouse until April & May respectively

Is there a 110 size, or just the two listed?

Also, both sizes look available on Sport Conrad.

Nope, they only do a 100mm (which is 106mm internal face to face) and a 120mm (which is 126mm internal face to face).

I was initially critical of them not doing a 110mm but the mounting brackets are on both sides of the ski and are pretty beefy so don't see a problem with excessive leverage if you have to put the 120mm crampon on a 107mm ski - unlike a Dynafit style crampon that only has the small bracket in the middle of the ski.

Just saw that. There's very few left out there on the shelves. See that they're also profiteering as the list price should be approx €66 not €90! And, as AFAIK, Sport Conrad don't ship to the USA/Canada if that's where your located.

Mine are great but they have a weird click I can feel in the toe when I’m skating around. I have checked the afd height and it all looks good. Anyone else have this going on and figured out how to make it go away?
