Oh, it's there. I worked for a number of PQ companies in the ski industry and the undercurrent of separatist sentiment is fairly strong. Timely bump. Did you know, US citizens who renounce citizenship still qualify for Social Security payments so long as they qualified for Social Security as a US citizen. There are country-specific stipulations but former citizens still generally get retirement. While the program is funded at least.
