Silverton being sued -- time to hurry up and get down there

My very young kids when they were 4-6 got rides up the Silverton chairlift to play at the top. We had no problems ands greatly appreciate that kindness extended by Silverton.
In subsequent years, several non skier friends, some of whom were overweight Texans and their kids were graciously allowed to ride up and down without incident.

Curious - were they asked to sign a waiver or given a ticket with T&Cs? Or was it just informal hop on the next chair thing?

Even if they did -- those waivers / T&Cs are not worth the paper their printed on if a jury finds Silverton acted recklessly / negligently.

The amount of plain ignorance, disinformation and general lack of respect displayed here for the work that Silverton Mountain has done to provide a different skiing product is just plain sad.

Only half of that is true. There can be a world of difference between reckless and negligent conduct if a waiver is involved.
