I don't think it's that simple. I would say that there are a lot of guys who think they have never in their lives mentally or physically abused a female, sexually or otherwise; I certainly put myself in that category. But there may be incidents that women around them view differently; I know of one such incident with regards to myself.

[cool story bro] When I was a soph in college I briefly dated a freshman girl; I was pretty new to dating and wasn't very "experienced". We had fooled around a bunch and one night ended up in my dorm room, messing around and slowly getting naked. It sure seemed like I was gonna score and I was pretty stoked (she would have been maybe the 3rd girl I had ever had sex with)! But when we were all naked, she said no to sex, and I was pretty shocked; I was sure that this not being a one night stand thing and us being alone in my dorm and us both willingly messing around to the point of nakedness meant sex was gonna happen. I know I tried to convince her otherwise (verbally, definitely not physically!) but still got shut down. I was pretty bummed (18 yo hormones) but that's the way it goes, and I moved on. It's not like I kicked her out right then or called her names or got hostile or anything. And we dated for a little time after that, but things kind of fizzled, the situation seemed to leave some lingering awkwardness; I chalked it up to two very inexperienced kids not really knowing how to talk about stuff or signal intentions. Or so I thought.

I came to find out much later that she viewed it as me being some kind of pressuring asshole. In re-evaluating it, I surely think I could have been more mature (as could she), but I still don't think I did anything wrong in that situation. But she did. [/cool story bro]
