    Goodbye Seattle

The moving truck came and packed up all my crap. I'm surfing the housemate's futon until I head East. Squirrel99 let me rack out on his couch last night after fun tour of Seattle haunts. Anyway, I'll miss the city. I'll miss the PNW and the Cascades. I'll miss the many mags I've met and befriended here. So many of you made the last two years very memorable. Multiple trips and days. Constant wingpeople like Joshbu, Buster, Squirrel, Rehabit, Z-Bo, Girlski, etc... Others simply providing stoke through our infrequent but fun encounters like the Oregon Crew and Baker crew and hilarious dudes like Hop, B-boy, and mtbakerskier, some partygoers I've seen here or other house parties, at multiple movies, or over beers at the Snorting Elk and whatnot. I know I will be making turns with many of you next year and in the years to come. I hope this coming winter kills it for ya. Thanks for all the energy and memories.

Iceman, fire up the BBQ! I'll be in Charlottesville living right on the UVA campus around 5 August. Hope to see all you VA/DC mags soon -- especially since I know a bunch of ya already.

Off to Whistler for the 4th and then East... Do I need to buy some Dockers and tassled loafers to fit out there???

    Well we're movin on up,
    To the east side.
To a deluxe apartment in the sky.
    Movin on up,
    To the east side.
We finally got a piece of the pie.

    Fish don't fry in the kitchen;
Beans don't burn on the grill.
    Took a whole lotta tryin',
Just to get up that hill.
Now we're up in the big leagues,
    Gettin' our turn at bat.
As long as we live, it's you and me baby,
There ain't nothin wrong with that.

    Catch you on the flip.

I haven't been reading the board for awhile and this is the first I've heard you were leaving. It was good to get to know you even a little, so good luck back there.

You need help. Seattle to VA?

Good luck. The 3 hour drive to Whitetail to ski with me and VTSkiBum won't be that bad. Just buy a really fast car, and remember, radar dectectors are illegal in the commonwealth of VA.

The Mid-Atlantic is going to be killing it this year. Kill. Ing. It. FYI, I am wearing boat shoes right now (although technically I'm in Pennsylvania). And I look good. So welcome aboard, thailor! Time to break out the shock tanks again.

Good to hang with you Rusty the few times we did. You always have a place to crash (and an outdoor shower to use!) here in the hood. Take care.

    Dear Mr. Smoove-

I'll be out of town the first couple weeks of August, but after that we'll fire up the barbie and have us a time.

    Looking forward to it mang.

(and just 'cause Acostiga wears tassled loafers doesn't mean we all do!)

Made the trip from the left coast for this in the end of April.

    Best. Day. Ever.
You know, there's like a butt-load of gangs at this school. This one gang kept wanting me to join because I'm pretty good with a bowstaff.

The only people in New England who wear tassled loafers are the geeks that come here from elsewhere to attend the schools most locals can't afford..

    Okay --

I've got my UVA football season tickets. Being an alum of Wake Forest, I know boat shoes and bad frat ties all too well and I know that soon I'll be getting sweater vest recommendations from acostiga. Anyway, tailgates in the fall and foxfields in April. My house is a few blocks off of The Corner and right on sorority row, so I may very well run across CUBUCK's sister. Btw, Squirrel, I think she'll be majoring in Smoove... Sweet. Best wishes to all you doods out West, drop a line if you ever want to hang at my "Godfather" pad. I'm sure I'll cross paths with most of you again -- at least I'm hopeful about it.

    Later,

    Rusty
