Yeah, Saturday and Sunday was pretty firm on most aspects and they handled it with aplomb. Echo the trench laying aspects and pop. Carving down Shaft, guessing its 45deg most of the way, from mid station sunday on firm edgeable chalk had me air born out of the turn and into the next. Same on groomers, load em and launch.
The 192s I drilled had metal in only one or two holes whereas the 182s I drilled were full of shavings every hole. Wtf is up with that?

Thinking I would let go of my mfree 108 182s flat for $350, either plus shipping or local pick up in the front range CO. Just putting a feeler out there. One mount for Wardens at 305 BSL, good condition overall. PM me if you are interested and I will get you pics.
What's the deal with the Dynastar Legend 8800? Is it in the same class of "cold dead hands" skis as the Dynastar LP105? Can't find much about it online, but there's a pair available for $120 locally and I'm curious.
Re 8800s:
For some they are. I had LPs, but lots of friends kept 8800s for touring, early and late season, and hard snow duties. Think they had one sheet of metal.

They are relabeled Nobis Inspired. I though they were a great all mountain ski. Stable and damp. Longish turn radius. High 20s iirc. The little big fat was the same shape but one sheet of metal.
Are they new? 188? If so that’s a steal, I would buy them

I had both of those skis. The 8000 was decent but lacked the smooth ride of the 8800. The 8800 was surprisingly great in powder for the time. One of my favorite tele rigs ever. I would snag them.

Grab those 8800. They are a really good ski. Show up with a hundo, bet he takes it.
Yea, great skis if you like traditional chargers.
They are a bit easier to swing around than the OG LP but still have a very solid backbone. They charge hard and lay trenches.
I still ski mine often early season.
Interesting fact: 8800s (not Pro Riders) were worn by the fastest man in Fernie on his way to victory in the 2005 Chinese Downhill Championships.
Interesting yes but I don’t think the 182 is a much different ski. I am a fat guy with a little dick (no lifted truck or Toyota though ) on 182 that have been skiing nothing but firm shit for weeks and they do just fine when I occasionally ski correctly. I have yet to find a time where I had wished they were longer , or when I had my previous daily driver Bonafides. I keep the edges well-tuned at the factory 1.0 & 2.
If it’s not the right ski for you dub2 by all means move it along, but for anyone else fretting that the 182 is significantly different from the 192; it’s not.
"Let's be careful out there."
The mid section of the 172 and 182 are noticeably thinner than the 192. Sweetbippy is skiing the 172 no problem, 5’7” 135. I wouldn’t mind the 108 in a 198 or 200.

^^not yet but if Ullr cooperates I will since I’ve got a pair mounted waiting for snow
When I do I’ll either eat crow or do a bandit/kc and flip them
I had my 182's up near 75 MPH at Snowbird last week chasing my kid around, it's still able to charge as hard as your own balls will let it. That said, I'm barely holding on to 150lbs after giving up beer for January, and yeah they ski shorter than the 182 listed length. Bigger dudes >180lbs should reach for the 192 for sure.
Shame there is no 194/186/178/172 like dynastar used to run, the 192/182/172 split misses the mark imo.
Move upside and let the man go through...
