Yup. I agree. Different horses for different courses.

Yes, it seemed to me the stand out in the line up. I have powder skis and a hard pack ski(mx83). The r99 would get the most use. I loved the LP and Monster 98.

Heck yeah, I’m stoked to get on 2funky’s pair next year — having never skied similar skis I didn’t throw down as I don’t have a point of reference.

Big fan of Dynastar chargers here...I'm really disappointed with the sizes of the M-Pro 108.

    Just 172, 182 and 192 cm.

If you’re a true “sickrider “ you want the 192….. don’t see your issue if so…

ahah yeah...I'm just 174cm. I've tried 192 chargers before but they're a little bit on the longer side, especially for our conditions.
    187 XXL is perfect.

Has it been confirmed that the 182 M-Free 108 is softer than the 192?

I have been skiing my 182s a lot this year, and generally like them, but would love a bit more top end stability in crud and crap snow. They are not overly damp and can feel a little twitchy at high speeds.

I really don't want to ski a 192 daily, as I think the length would be too much for me in tight spots, just wish the 182 had a little more backbone.

I'm going to bet the 192 mfree skis A LOT shorter than a 187 XXL.

Have you skied the 182? If not then do so and go from there. Most that wanted the 186/7 and have skied the 182 have no complaints.

Of course not...they're not available yet and they won't be available to test anywhere (at least here).
    That's why I won't buy them.
As an happy owner of a 187 XXL I won't risk to buy either the 182 or the 192.

Yep. I stood beside them the other day and I'd definitely go for the 192.
The M-Pro is supposed to be a completely different ski from the M-free though.

The 187 XXL is 14 years old with full length camber and sidecut. Not quite apples and oranges but we’re getting close.

Not really. It is looser though allowing one to get it through tighter spaces easier.

Well I talked to the guy who had them of course. That's the best option you have if you want to see and touch them in person since no shop close to you sells them.

My mistake... thought you were talking about the free and not the pro. [emoji106]

You could buy my new 192 free 108s and have option of having both.

Yeah sure, I still consider it quite actual though. Or maybe because I sold it and then got it back and I was like "wow this thing rips!".

I might end up replacing the 182 M-frees with Stance 102s or Enforcer 104 Frees. They are great skis, but might just be too soft snow oriented for what I want them to do in my quiver.

If I do sell them, would anyone in the Denver area be interested in a pair of 182s in great condition? One mount for Wardens around 305 BSL.

This is so wild to me — truly leads me to believe the 192 is a different bird over the 182. I lay trenches on my 192 - 108s. They are so energetic and predictable on firm snow!! Absolutely rocket you out of the turn. Pop off all the little rollers and immediately hook up into the next turn.

The 182s are much less of a ski.
