TR: 10 days, 4 corners, a Subway, and some bling

Moonrise over the Telluride Bluegrass Festival

The San Juan Mountains on a hike to Bear Creek Falls

    Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado

Goosenecks of the San Juan State Park, Utah

Monument Valley, looking from Utah toward Arizona

    Buckskin Gulch

    Buckskin Gulch

    Buckskin Gulch

Zion National Park, Wildcat Trailhead, heading for "The Subway"
We were lucky to get a permit on two days notice to do this
canyon. It's been on my list for a while, and certainly didn't
    disappoint.

Kelly on the hike in to the Subway

    More hiking to the Subway

Finally down in the cool river, wetsuits & harnesses go on.

The Subway is in mid-May conditions, lots of cold flowing water.
The expression on my face should say quite a bit, the water here is
about 40 degrees and 10+ feet deep.

Kelly enjoying the sunny but cold water.

Six hours into the hike, we arrive in the Subway

Rap #4 takes us into an amazing area.

    More Subway stuff

    ...and more great views

7 hours in, we hit Red Falls, car to car it took over 10 hours.

The next day we went to Keyhole Canyon in Zion National Park

All of these pictures are inside Keyhole, a great place for some fun technical canyoneering.

    And, one last one...

After four years of dating, I finally popped the question a few days before we left for this trip. Kelly thought I was going to propose while we were away, so I decided to surprise her and do it before we left, and it worked.

We've set a date for just under a year from now; June 11th, 2006 - here in SLC!
