Well, here I am watching ESPN (on Sunday because I'm an atheist) because my psychic told me my team would cover the spread while I pull tubes, drink a 40, and read the escort personals looking for a "date" tonight, I'm on the phone I stole from work with my wicca-practicing lesbian-prostitute sister that I pimp on the block telling her that I'm broke when I really have tons of cash because I love money. Your belief could be wrong, that's how. Your belief does not determine reality.

To take it out of metaphysical terms, saying "If I don't believe in Hell, how can I go to Hell?" is like saying "I don't believe there is a cliff there, so how can I fall of the cliff?"
You can then say "I don't believe in gravity" all the way down.

Disclaimer: I DEFINITELY don't want to get into a "which belief is right" conversation, I'm just answering your hypothetical question.

I don't understand some of these fundamentalist Christians. Bringing people to Jesus without coercion, fearmongering, or pressure is a central point to nearly every church I've been to - I'm not sure what people who make signs like that intend to accomplish. Contrary to popular belief, hatred of others is definitely not a Christian value.

The opposite extreme are the empty promises: "Make Jesus your choice and you'll drive a Rolls Royce." I hate stuff like that. Neither extreme is well thought out or based on biblical principals.

Case in point: How many homosexuals has godhatesfags.com converted to being straight? "Zero" would be my guess. That guy has a personal agenda. I wish he would stop.
