CO mags coming to Snowbird for the 4th!?

The Dude and I are going to head to Snowbird the Fourth of July weekend. Never been to Utah and it will great to meet some Utarded Maggots!

Any other CO mags plan on heading to the Bird? We are going to camp, so if you want to join us, let me know. May have room for one more in The Dude's vehicle, but not sure yet, details to follow on Monday.

Any Utards want to meet up? Anybody having a party or anything?

Where are good places to camp?

Most of us are riding our bikes now, but I'll probably be up for a run or two on the 4th of July. As for camping, I'd guess that Tanners Flat in LCC might be good to go, and I'd think that most of the campgrounds low in BCC would be as well. But I haven't driven up either canyon in a month, so take that with a grain of salt.

I know that we were talking of skiing on the 4th and then maybe doing a bbq with everyone that wants to later that night.

I'm sure something will come together.

I'd say camp at Tanners Flat or in BCC.

mill creek? park city? how about up in cache valley? all those are obviously farther from the bird than LCC/BCC, but worth a shot.

Camping in the parking lots of ski resorts has worked for more than one ski bum before. I know a couple ski resorts in BCC have parking areas that are poachable, so long as you don't piss off the night watchman

I'll be out there skiing. I'm thinking 2 days at bird and 1 at Snowbasin (or maybe switch those numbers). GT just sent me some pics from up skiing at Basin today and it looks good. They have the gondy's running for MTBiking, but will let you take your skis up with you instead if you want. We're thinking a booter session and skiing a few chutes would be fun. The cost for a ride up in the gondy is $7. Not bad.

I'll be staying with fam and can't really reco any particular campground. Maybe some cool Utards would let you camp in there yard? I'll vouch for both of these guys being solid maggots. I'm sure you'd be welcome up at my 'rents yard, but they're a solid hour-and-a-half to the bird.

And it was not bad again today! $8 if you set your skis out of site, $10 if you bring em to the window, "taking skis is lke a mountain bike" or some crap.

Good times today with GT, Flyk and Backpack!

From talking with GT there may be a few of us heading south, myself and possibly 2P. We should definately carpool like we talked about.

    Shameless bump for....

1.) Last chance for CO mags to reserve a space on "The Dude" Express to Utah

2.) No Utah mags gonna be at Snowbird this weekend, except maybe altachic and stump832? Was looking forward to meeting a few of you.

If you see a guy that looks like this (guy on left), don't hesitate to ask for change. May be skiing 05 Atomic Sugar Daddies with Freerides.

Post FYI so you don't have to look it up.

Little Cloud and the Tram are open 8:00 am – 2:30 pm, conditions permitting. Lift tickets are $30.00. Tickets will be sold at the Snowbird Center only.

Will be a good crew it looks like. GT40 and MD9 I do believe are going Sat as well.

Well that sucks, a bunch of Utards are meeting up, and we won't even be there that day. Ah, oh well, we'll be there Sunday and Monday if anyone is around!
