When you get home after being away and your pets are so insanely happy to see you that they just about jump through their own asses wiggling and jumping and running around slamming into things.

Leaving my house for 15 minutes is enough to make my dog do this. It rarely fails to make me smile.

helping with the boy's soccer team yesterday (not the first time) and actually playing and running on the field for 90 minutes and not needing anything more than ice on my replaced knee this morning.

    such a relief.

    Things That Are Good

They’re called pull-aparts. Gooey cinnamon heart stoppers from the local bakery. Goes great with a latte in a cup I got in Mexico, and plates we got in France. JHC humblebrag much?

They are coming through a really nice section just now. I was actually surprised at the flows on the Green when I camped next to it a few days ago. Can't really see that holding up further downriver. I can't actually see them making it to Sonora, or anywhere close actually, but I'd be pleased to be proven wrong.

march in utah, iceman! i hear something is happening...

1 year, 11 months since replacement. i swore off pretty much everything but snowboarding, golf and backpacking. i probably could have done it sooner but was a little scared about inflammation. yesterday i got caught up in it with the kids and was actually running and cutting for the first time. i have a limited lifespan with this replacement so i doubt i'll make a habit of it but it was great fun with no apparent consequences.

Guess this is as good a place to put this as any:

Heard Carson Pickett say this on the nightly news last night and really liked it - def. words to live by:
