Sir heady is a know-nothing dipshit. Pay no mind.

Snow held up well under the cold Temps and moderate wind. Yesterdays easterly up-slope wind on the pc Ridgeline affected the very top but mid-thigh deep once you got half way down.
    waist deep if you're 5'2

    Update on KSL:
Two skiers — a brother and a sister — were sent to hospitals after an in-bounds avalanche at Snowbasin ski resort Sunday afternoon, according to the Weber County Sheriff's Office.

The sister, who is 23 years old, was buried under about 4 to 5 feet of snow for an estimated 5 to 10 minutes, said Sgt. Terance Lavely.

People skiing nearby saw the avalanche and took note where they last saw the woman. They began digging immediately and the woman was located by ski patrol, Lavely said. Once she was recovered, she was flown to a hospital. She suffered only sore muscles, Lavely said.

The woman's 35-year-old brother rode out the avalanche but broke a rib and had sore muscles. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance, Lavely said.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. in the No Name area of the resort.

Great to hear! Sounds like a heroic effort and a tragedy dodged.

Sir heady, These incidents are difficult enough on the rescuers and avy crew without nit-wits throwing out uninformed slights.

WASATCH STOKE, CONDITIONS, OBSERVATIONS AND ASSORTED DRIVAL 17-18

I was hiking on fire road at base and heard copter and saw ambulances coming up. Hope they heal up ok.
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Strong stoke on this page! Looks like it there may be close to enough coverage now to make the trip west. Good Christ do I miss the Wasatch. I'll be back, and fuck, I'll even deal with the smog compared to the bullshit here.

Haha thanks man! We'll just call it a temporarily permanent move; Who knows where we'll be in a Couple years, but first I have to head back east for now and start a family and prepare to raise a little ripper.

Would love to ski with ya, (I'll have a stowe pass) or bring your bike and we can overland the hell out of vt.

    In other BC news:

This ski instructor is losing his job.

Just to add to the stoke, the shoulder was DEEP yesterday. Best powder turns I've had in quite a while.

Afterwards, it took me a while to figure out how I got so much snow in my bibs...turns out I forgot to close my thigh vents before dropping in.

Classic move. Lots of fun cross loaded pillows along the vertical e ridges that you can ski top to bottom.

It's Settled a bit today. Still good though.

Big Cottonwood quick hitters got hammered by weekend warriors. Every aspect and open face was basically tracked out.

Despite that, we found some untracked lines, and damn the powder is still cold and blower. Hit west-facing glades - still have to watch out for logs though. One more good storm and this miiiiight feel like normal. Exit out of Bear Trap was... spikey.

Did not see any avalanche signs. Not even on the big stuff across canyon.

Definitely the coldest tour of the season so far...
