Just be careful with the wireless stuff. Electrical interference from power lines, electric livstock and dog fences, home alarms etc can mess with your speed, distance and heart rate monitors. I have a wireless and will never buy one again for that reason. The only reason I continue to use it is for the cadence, timing and heart rate functions.

Wireless is the way to go. I usually don't spend too much on bike computers and get whatever is on sale.

My current computer is a Specialized Elite wirelss. So far I have not had any problems, the fork mount fits my bladed fork, and no problems with the wireless interferring with my HR monitor or vice versa. It's gotten wet a few times and no problems. I think most bike computers are made to handle rain to a certain extent.

I have a Vetta wireless that I got at velo-swap for a song. Never had a problem with it, no HRM issues, no wet weather issues.

I've been using the same Sigma BC800(?) for about 9 years. Works fine in the rain. Sigma also sells replacement parts for their computers, or at least they used to.

My polar HRM gets interference also, but it doesn't bother me too much. Besides, the errors are very obvious and can be fixed when you download the workout to your computer.

I use the 720. I really love that thing, like I said it does get mild interference when riding next to the train in the city or along big power lines, but it's not a big deal I don't think. Besides, how often do you ride in the middle of the city.
