Seems like it will be much warmer today, may have a bit of upside down density in areas that haven’t been opened yet. Thank goodness I’m on GPO’s.
Easy drive up 126 today as well ... the 70 miles where I could go much faster on my all seasons outpaced the 20 miles where I had to go slower than on my winter tires ...
Anyone else at Hoodoo today?

Getting was good at T-Line this morning. First runs were closer to Pow than later runs when the snow turned into more of a cream cheese consistency. Lots of fresh lines to be had all over. Best of the day we’re on Molly’s run where it’s reasonably steep and the deep made it extra fun. Was a great day on the Goats, till I got too wet and was done with that...

Looks good!
She was wet today.....glove change out @ 11. Those snowflakes were slick little shits on the groom. Could of went with out FR.
closing day & ski free (4 cans anyway) day at ski bowl Sunday

and ironically, forecast looking like snow!
I can feel it in the plums after today. still moist
Word of the day was variable. Windbuffed and unskied snow up high was great on the GPOs, as long as the speed was kept up to keep the nose up near the surface. The heavy winds refreezing the snot snow was making frozen trenches out of other peoples tracks today (actually mostly my own, since there maximum 20 people skiing off piste at Hoodoo today). Also couldn’t see shit up top, one moment you’d be making a deep pow turn, next moment flying off a 5’ windlip by accident, next moment burying your tip under a wind drift and getting pitted. Definitely upside down and definitely thick cake batter at the bottom of the hill (which eventually turned into mashed potatoes then then Elmer’s glue).
Still fun to gun it out on the GPOs, many great turns, but I was jealous of those on boards today (my ankle is still too fukt to snowboard).
Day started off great, conference call at 8, Powder call at 9! Bach and it’s pathetic cell coverage and lack of wind protected chairs is better left for fair weather days when work is unnecessary...

I’m diggin my GPOs too. Stable as fuck, floats the stuff we call pow and turns tight for a long wide ski.
Yesterday was a complete cluster F for me... My wife went up with me and as much as she loves skiing she is very much a fair weather skier... As soon as we got to the top she went into complete freak out mode due to poor vis... It took us 15 min to make it down a simple zoomer to be told at the bottom she was done... Took everything I had not to loose it...
And to boot NW didn't drop... And I think you are spot on as there will be a very small window for good conditions at NW...
Rant over...!
trying to figure out if tomorrow is going to happen. running out of weekends.
Do it. We’re headed up tomorrow as per the usual. Maximizing our Fusion passes, tho mostly at T-Line. Only got 2 days in at Bowl. It looks like there might be a smidge of new snow, so I’m gonna be on my Goats one last time this year (probably, but who knows we may get some more dumps).
Beauty
It was a wet one at T-Line this morning. We bailed at about 11am when we were all tired of being that wet... Snow was fast tho.
sticky, wet snow on top of the semi-recooled snow at Bachelor. low crowds 'cept for the ski racers on Pine Marten. really started to come down about 11AM. started to cover up some of the crunchy bits.
