    Tour de Suisse

The Tour de Suisse passed by yesterday, so it was necessary for some photos and to watch it pass.

Just to give you an idea of where we were.
The riders were coming from Gstaad, Col du Pillon,
and they were going to Aigle, and then to Verbier.

We set up on a long bridge, figuring we'd get to see them for some extended period of time.
It was the best place I've viewed a pro tour yet, but still not ideal.
13 riders were in a breakaway, 5 minutes ahead of the pack.
Check out the parade of support cars behind.

And one of the parade sponsors. Nice bikes on the roof, 'eh.

The rest of the pack soon arrived.
And because of where we were, with only 4 other people around,
they actually replied to our cheers. Or at least so we think.
You can see Les Diablerets Glacier (aka Glacier 3000, aka G3) in the back ground.

Not sure how it finished up today, but plan to check the standings.
    Ski, Bike, Climb.
    Resistence is futile.

Nice! I want to go to the alps with a 17 lb. road bike set up with 50x36 cranks and a 12x25 cassette.

Great photos, the Tour de Suisse looked like a great race. The caravan of team vehicles and support vehicle in these races is pretty amazing.

    Giving that some thought,
I think there were more vehicles involved than riders.
