Has anybody skied a 4 flex yeti? I'm bout to order a pair but am still waffling on what core. Still debating the enduro w carbon vs the ul. Does anyone know the approx weight difference in those 2 cores. Right now I'm leaning a 4 flex yeti w veneer and enduro w carbon.

I Have no input other than to say that's exactly what I ordered in a 192. Weight difference seems to be about .5lb

Thought I'd throw this out there for the collective's feedback.

I've thoroughly enjoyed my 180 BC for 4+ seasons now with soft snow bias. I have found that at my height 6'1" that it can be a tad short at times. I believe this was in the MAP Core (which is now similar to the enduro with carbon). I later purchased the 182 Yeti in the UL core and we just don't seem to jive all the time.

Anyway, I'm planning on retiring my BCs to early season usage and passing on my Yetis, so I'm looking for a ski in the low 180s length, in the 10X width with tip rocker, small tail rocker, turn radius in the low to mid 20s. Free ride? Skinny Rx? Other thoughts? This would be for touring and compliment a 187 GPO and 173 EXP. Soft snow bias but would like to be able to handle most conditions well enough, also like what you'd want out of a travel type ski.

Kevino- are your yetis stock flex? I have yet to hear from someone stoked on the stock 2 flex yeti cuz too noodly

Above someone said their gpo's don't handle variable snow well. I would counter that they are the best ski I've ever had in variable snow..... By a long shot. In fact, I'd say it's their strong suit.

Its chance I know but Keith ended up coming back to me on the skinny protest for a lighter skier (I fell off the the kick for her)...to me that was big. We will see how this one plays out but his confidence was a big hurdle push for me.

Why don't you jive with the Yeti? Do you like the way they ski consistent snow? Is the lack of jive limited to variable snow scenarios? If so, you may just need a new layup. I sold my UL GPO because it felt useless in variable snow - just the way the UL was for me. Enduro layup solved the problem.

If you dislike the way they ski consistent snow, you might need a new shape.

I tried to get a 184 BC made, but I didn't generate enough interest.
    Next options are:
    183 fat yeti
    183 skinny Rx

I ended up going with a standard MVP in a 183 for this purpose. Might be a bit fat, but that's how I played it.

    Avoid the UL core.
Although, Keith did say his UL cores are a little heavier and he has ditched the pawlonia.

What's he replaced the pawlonia with?

In an email to me, he said aspen was replacing the pawlonia in the enduro core. Didn’t say anything about that for the UL core. My mistake.

So Enduro (formerly MAP) is now MA. isn't the heavy core also Maple/Ash?

Of course, there are tons of ash varieties with varying densities (swamp ash being one of the lightest & favored by many for Telecasters & Stratocasters).
