My partner hauled her cello and I hauled my fiddle to the summit of Mt. Shavano last Friday 7/14/17 and we recorded our performance on top. Certainly the cello was a bigger pain than the fiddle, which was fairly gentle compared to hauling skis up there! We got a 3:30am start and moved fairly slow (we need to work on our instrument strap systems!) and I feel we got ultra lucky on the cloud/sun window. Going down was a challenge, felt long, but our spirits are high and the stoke is real! As far as I know no one else has played music on the summit of Shavano so this may be a first (but let me know if we are wrong about that!) Check out our tunes from the top!
