Trying this for the first time.
Edit, definitely less sweet than Schwepps. Good flavor, but cant tell a big difference. The work day ends better with a cocktail. Onto some Old Rum next.

Always ditch the old lime when re-upping. It gets bitter and is the drunks equivalent of several old lift tickets hanging from your jacket
Plastic cup because I'm out mowing.
I don't understand fancy gin and fancy tonic water.
That would be like Jack Daniels and gourmet soda: you're ruining the JD and the "gourmet" high fructose corn syrup at the same time.
And cucumbery gin? That's awesome in a martini, but in tonic water with lime? Yuck!
Gordon's and tonic water that isn't flat. Even store brand is usually fine. And enough that it's bubbly, but not so much that it's too sweet.
Bars often get that last part wrong. It's frequently a stiff pour and a dash of tonic, so it's flat. I guess it's cool if that's your thing. (Bars around here can be generous)
And if the previous limes are making your drink bitter, you are drinking really really slow.
I just like a fresh lime. Is that a crime?
I see hydraulic turtles.
agava. made in Canada, from botanicals in our northern climes. piss yellow, but oh so good

Drank many Gin and Tonics last night at Nathaniel Rateliff. They did not use Fever Tree.

Brain dead and made of money.
I won a bottle of The Botanist at a raffle. Tried it tonight. Makes a damn fine G&T.

Free booze is elixir to Yankees fans. It's all they can afford.
We have recently been going with St George Gin. Like it. Fresh lime is important in my opinion. I also agree, tonic is not to be bought in bulk. those small cans are good for two g and t's (wife likes them too) I will have to check out the fancy tonic. usually just go with the Schweppes. For some reason i am thirsty. while I normally do not have much scrutiny on a drink or two as the wife is also involved, not sure the Monday night before bed is the right call...

I go through about a mickey of gin from October through April. Then, like trout on a hatch, it's a little crazy. If I don't have a 26er in the freezer, I ain't happy. So far this year, nothing but Tanq. The Islay is my next bottle though, so thanks for the tip gang.

My wife bought Grey Goose. What was she thinking? The proper G&T last night did not have any Gin. I did not lose my shoes and I did not wake up on the lawn.
^^ Fuckin' vodka, man!
If we're gonna wear uniforms, we should all wear somethin' different!
It's ok, I speak maple-jive.
He's saying that during the winter months he barely goes through a small pint of gin. But when spring arrives he hits that shit like it owes him money for 5 straight months; and pity the poor man who catches him on a day when he doesn't have gallons of it on hand.
He will alternate the gin for something he keeps in his freezer but it's indecipherable what that actually is.
I still call it The Jake.
