Haaa , silverwood mt resort. The real estate portion of the resort didnt quite fly. The gravel pit on the other hand....
Im actually up to 9 little areas surrounding the city i can ski tour. Some have taken days of glading and some i didnt realize where there until i started poking around. I was beginning to think the work i did was all for not but they have a base now finally and we're getting a few snowfalls now. Its nice to have options rather than driving 45minutes to crabbe

There's a lot of good to be had in NB if you are willing to work for it.

There's a lot that sucks for sure though, but really it's a trade off everywhere.

My truck is almost 20 years old so my converter isn't much of a target.

We have a lot of great cross country mountain biking and some ok downhill mountain biking.

That looks like prime terrain for a wide waxless XCD ski and pins (two or three, your pick).

Friends use those. Not my jam though. Trees are tight and i want to get turns. Id consider a widish voile ski with fishscales and a vipec or tecton and just have skins in the pack for when theyre really needed. That set up would be the easiest for not stepping out of the binding. One latch on my hoji boots and change the binding heel from ski/walk with a pole quickly

We havent established exactly where Bmac is but itd be nice to get a mag meet up going with ironhippy and Bmac. I'd like to check out poley or farlagne etc or any alpine touring possibilities. Chic chocs and also cape breton with cape smojey and ski tuonela. Tuonela looks pretty cool

I'm not in NB - just familiar with the area - otherwise I'd 100% join in for a mag meetup to ski some secret stash hits!

Perhaps you should post a TR of some lines skied in NB, NS, and PEI - would be a trip to see someone ski all provinces and territories.

I'd subscribe to a thread of Maritime/Atlantic backcountry skiing - from the avalon peninsula to the Chic Chocs.

I get inspired by people getting after it regardless of local elevation and snowpack. I mean anyone can easily get after it if they live out west.
