Hey XXX'er, how's gas prices looking with the upcoming closure of the husky refinery in PG?

yeah the whole PPC party dissapeared, I think Canadians out east and lets be real its Ontario and Quebec that hold all the power to elect are liberals but they are not whacko religious conservative nutjobs and if Canadians remember the Harper era he wanted to make canada more like the USA ... not good

Think about how often a Canadian will use any reference to god in a sentance ... fucking never

Gas prices are always a little higher out west but is the husky refinery closing or being sold, my understanding is that its being sold ?

Hmm, the googles say you correct, husky is selling to tidewater. I see all the husky gas stations around here have gone to Esso.

As for the canuck politics, the wexit talk online is just hilarious, especially as their proposed annexation maps try to include some or all of BC. Geeze, I wonder where the pipeline issue remains for getting the crude to a western seaport...? Ya know, those 2 main seaports represented in parliament by either the liberals, NDP or Green. Best of luck there.

well around here I am pretty sure all the fuel comes from the husky refinery and they put the techroline or wtf the different additives are in it when they fill the tanker truck, my LL was a senior bio for the provincial gov and he said all the tanker trucks with all the different logos were all parked at the husky refinery when he was doing work there

Don't get me wrong JT is a fucking idiot but he is "anybody but Sheer" just like he was "anybody but harper" so yeah keep everybody mad at JT and they won't have to deal with the fact they are fucking idiots

a openly gay agrologist I know in cow town refers to Kinney as a "closeted homosexual " i wonder if he will end up being prosecuted for the election funny business ?

    Visit Alberta and report back.

I'd be fine with a Republic of Central North America, from the Rio Grande to the Pole. They could sell oil and wheat to each other and thump bibles all day and leave the rest of us the fuck alone. Everybody would be happier.

Clueless you are. Ignorance to the truth is the biggest problem. If Alberta stops contributing to equalization program, the truth will become clear.

Umm, I don't think you really understand the equalization payment process.

    http://https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/canada-votes-2019-equalization-payments-provinces-kenney-1.5281736

In a nutshell, the provinces themselves DO NOT make payments to the equalization process. The people and businesses paying federal taxes pay into the fund. So eastern maritimers in Alberta, quebecois treeplanting in BC, basically all those who work in this country and make enough to pay federal taxes, pay into the fund. Any provincial politician that makes statements that they will somehow stop those transfer payments are playing their constituents for fools, and making statements contrary to the constitution of this country.

There may be one or two good arguments for some form of western secession, not that I've heard one yet, but transfer payments to the have-not provinces and territories are not one of them.

the truth is that the only way you could stop making transfer payments is by not paying your taxes but things never go good for anyone who stops paying their taxes, I wouldn't fuck with the feds

Rather than inciting the joe average in lunchrooms everywhere, I vote for him to throw down with yer high school bud Joey Shithead instead. Should be some good verbal sparring. My money's on Keithley.

Joe Keithley knocked on my door last year to tell me why he was running for city council. I had ordered a pizza earlier and was expecting a pizza dude, not Joey Shithead.

I heard Joe was delivering pizza now.

Sure he wasn't just trying to distract you from the fact that he was 20min late with yer panago?

Ya Joe was a smart guy, always politically active, back in about 73-74 he came round polling for the NDP in Burnaby North, he recognized the family name mentioned he knew me in HS and bonded with my mom, I don't think she realized what a shithead he would become which might have happened 76ish after a punk gig at the Port Moody legion, nowdays you don't give punk a second thot but back then it was completely new so for the bro's it was unbelievable .

    This Week in Canada...

B.C. might make it easier for people from Golden and people from Revy to meet up for touring at Rogers Pass.

    https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...ones-1.5304147

How Canadian time zones will work if B.C. stops changing clocks twice a year
    ...
In the winter, on the other hand, B.C. would be:

    Two hours behind Ontario.

On the same time as Alberta.

    Two hours ahead of Alaska.

One hour ahead of Yukon and Washington state.
