Yeah, i gotta get back in the pool. I was getting into a good routine of swimming 2500 meters several times a week and then this shit hit. Back to lardacious mode.

Was all set for a morning swim today, but a rare thunderstorm came through Seattle. Pretty foreboding looking skies, that's for sure! People in the first photo had been out in the lake when they saw lightning, so they turned around and headed back to shore.

^^^ Yup, my in laws lived there for like 7 years when my wife and I were first married so we spent a good bit of time down there and I certainly gained an affinity for the way that the local palate could be so seemingly monochromatic and yet so completely alive with color if you looked in the right places.
