    These rocks were not a good ski surface.
    They also were not the most comfortable place to wait a few hours while the helicopters were on their way.
    The InReach SOS earned its cost.

    ^^^ very cool. we see that when we go to Carmel in august. last year we went out on a whale watching tour and a fleet of watch must have been 50 or more sea loins swam by; it was amazing.

    This one is up near Juneau. Saw a few yesterday while out on a friend’s boat checking crab pots. Unfortunately no crabs.
